Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good enough.Exams are tough over here.As my college comes under Calcutta University our Centres for our examination are different.We can only give our internal exam over here That too they are very strict about it.They complete the course 2 months before our final exams

Till now I don't know much about placement.But we have been told about placements a little bit.Like how it is going to happen and what all we have to do

College Events

Business fest and Sports events.As our college is under group of institutions so many events are celebrated together.Not specifically I can mention what all events but tech fest dance fest sports and business fest are also been celebrated earlier and I was a part of it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible I guess.Not too expensive not too cheap also.For my course they take 32100 per semester.It is expensive as compared to other courses in our college.For BA they take 28000 and for Bsc 29000 or 30000 per semester.We pay by the means of Cheque or DD.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't apply for any scholarships or education loan.No my college don't offer scholarships and all.

Campus Life

Its equal I guess.or maybe boys ratio is more than girls.They do have extracurricular activities such as sports competition,Music and dance competition,Debates on large plateform.Everything is perfectly fine.They don't discriminate on the basis of religion,Caste,sex or anything.

Alumni/Alumna

All are great.Seniors and even super seniors were helpful and are friendly too.Alumni are very helful and guide us help us whenever they get chance.Even they help us with any problems.

Admission

Firstly got selected on the basis of my form and my marks for sure then the college call me for the interview then after my interview my name came in the merit list of selected students and I got admission over there with the help of my relevant documents.

Faculty

Per day we have 4 lectures of 1 hour each as we have morning class so Our cass starts from 7 in the morning till 11:30.Teachers are very much helpful but the only disadvantage we face is mostly every teacher teaches us more than 2 subjects and it is very difficult to coordinate

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
