Passion overcomes difficulties

I am fully satisfied with my college's education system.But the management was a typical one.They always threaten us to refrain us from University exams if we do not attend classes regularly.Overall my college management is good in supporting us.I think the management should think that there will be some freedom given to the students at this level because it was an undergraduate course and all the students are grown up.

I directly taken admission in this college. I think the college has arranged a counselling through MPPET which was organised at that time.I opted for this college because some boys from my locality had taken admission there before me.And they suggested that it is a good college. Firstly i had choosen electronics and communication engineering as my stream but after 1st year i had changed that and then took mechanical engineering as my stream.

Mechanical engineering is a good course to study.It has various subjects related to real life phenomenon and laws of nature and mechanism of everything. How stuff works and detailed designing considerations in man made objects what we see around us. There was not so research based syllabus in the curriculum only theories and conventional practicals were there.

No,there was no trend of internships in our college.We have to undergo industrial training of 15 days and have to submit the report.The college had organised training schedules for us.

Our placement cell was very active and they always run various campus training programs.I didn't know exactly how many students were placed but most of them were from computer science and electronics branch.I was not so active in those training programs because i was preparing for competitive exams.

Various technical and cultural programs were held in my college every year.And technical workshops and competition wer also organised.All the programs and competition were of inter college type inviting students from all colleges of the city.The prize for these competitions were also good.

The fees structure was not so expensive like all other colleges in that city. The fees was regulated by the University. 60k to 70k was the maximum tuition fees apart from transportation fees.Overall it was feasible and suitable for a middle class family to bear.

I have received a scholarship worth rs. 18500 from government of bihar. Our state government gives scholarship for students pursuing higher education.

My campus life was normal.I was a shy student and doesn't take part in any activities. There were a lot of societies in my college,technical and cultural but i was not a part of anyone. I once took part in a technical competition with a group of 5 in which we have made hydroelectric turbine.The project was a flop though but we learnt many things from that.I once participated in a workshop ob remote control aircraft fabrication. I learned the basics of aviation and flight mechanism.There were no girls in our Department as mechanical is famous for boys.I always refrain myself from any type of politics in the college. There was no ethnicity and economic status issues in my college to talk about.

I lived with my other friends who studied in the same college.We give rent 4100 monthly.And the facilities there were good and the locality was also cheap.There was cleanliness in the society. And the locals in that area were good. We made our food by own. We ate 2 times in that period. All was easy.

My college seniors were good and always helpful.They taught us discipline and manners about college life.I had met a senior after passing out he was preparing for some exams and also advised me to do so.

Our University took exams semester wise.There were two mid semester exams and one pre University test. The whom semester makes us very tired because always we have to give an exam in the next week or other.Labs exams were taken at the semester end.And marks were given in grades.The labs exams were lightly taken.And all students are passed in them.

The faculty of our Department at our time was very good. They were masters of theirs subjects and teach the syllabus with great enthusiasm. They gave real life examples and arranged industrial visits for us to learn outer world.In college time also they were ready to sort out our problems and afterwards also.They fight with administration for students rights.
