The most exciting period of life college.

Our college management is excellent the administrative staff helps students with their difficulties and also coordinate their jobs well. Infact the seminars and workshops conducted are also well coordinated.

I opted for JEE MAIN 2014. I got admission to this college through cap rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra. I took Electronics and telecommunication as I was interested in this course.

Electronics and telecommunication is an appropriate course for both software and telecommunication sector companies. There are scopes for research in the field of signals and systems, VLSI, Programming etc. Research on python, java , Networking, embedded systems have scope in industries.

No however we can apply for internship from other sources like internshala etc. College has provided internship for research in other countries they are taking us to singapore and other countries for research.

Placements are good. About 70 to 75% students are placed in computer science engineering and almost 100% placement in IT and 65 to 70% placement in E&Tc. Accenture, Cognizant, L&T, Oracle, Vodafone , Tata motors etc are the companies which come every year to our campus and offers 3.5-5 lakh per annum packages. Accenture:3.5 lakh per annum similar to Cognizant and L&T. Oracle gives 4.5-5 lakh per annum package.

Sinhgad cultural fest is Sinhgad karandak which is held mostly in January . Fashion show, solo dance, group dance, solo singing , art competitions are held every year. Along with sports tournaments are held like cricket , badminton, tennis,basketball etc.College also encourages students to participate in firodiya and Purushottam karandak, the pune city level competitions where all colleges of pune city participate. Supra and Baha are the technical competitions for mechanical students and tech fests are also held every year in the first week of January.

College fees is 98,000 for a year. And this fees is for open candidate students. Hostel fee is 50,000 rs for an year and can be paid in installments. College also takes students from TWFS and the tution is very less for them. The reserved category students are given various scholarships.

The State Government has started a fee waiver scheme to help the economically poor but meritorious students. OBC category students gets scholarship and EBC scholarship is given to open category students.

Every department has its student association like ETSA (Electronics and Telecomm. Student Association) Traditional Day(Shiv Jayanti), Techtonic, Karandak. Life in college is great. There are many clubs(for racing, ACES etc) which give the equal opportunities to the students. Boys and girls are treated equally. A person is not treated different because of his or her gender. Out 60 boys atleast 25 girls are studying.

Hostels are quite good. In a room, 4 students are allowed. There are 4 beds and 4 racks along with a attached bathroom and washroom. There are about 320 rooms in 1 hostel and 200 in another hostel for girls and 500 rooms for boys.Hostels are clean as they have appointed people to regularly clean the rooms and corridors. The mess food is average though. Not so good. Hostel students prefer going to canteen instead.

Seniors are quite helpful they do not treat us in any different way they respect us and help us when we need help from them in academics, cultural or sports events they are supportive and encourage us to participate in all competitions.

Exams are held by pune university. And they are quite frequent . So we aren't chilled out. As our university exam ends, college conducts it's own examination whose marks they add up in term work. Prelims, mock test are conducted quite frequently. University conducts insem(30 marks) and semister's (70 marks) and also practicals are conducted.

I took admission in 1st CAP round. Through my JEE main score and board result , I got a rank and a final score after adding both of them. In the cap rounds, out of 100 options ,i gave sinhgad college my preference and when results came i got admission.

Faculty is good they are quite genuine in their teaching and are down to earth most of the teachers are qualified here and give their hearts out in teaching. They are mostly M.Tech or Ph.D in their course of interest. There are also ME opportunities in college itself.
