Our batch is the last batch that is affiliated to bput and the course curriculum is quite good and well structured and the faculties here are always having an equal pace with the curriculum and try to provide quality education

Placements of our college differ from year to year. However the average placement record is good .

College Events

As i had said college is very poor when it comes to extra curricular activites and cultural fests. Only 2 events are held once a year . One is technical fest and the other is cultural fest which last for 3 days and participation is done mostly by college students only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Mode of payments accepted is cash, neft and online payment. And coming to its feasibility it has a reasonable price but it still differs from person to person. No there are no additional fees to secure admission and yeah college does provide fee transparency.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarship is provided from both government sponsored schemes as well as college provides it own scholarships to students who are financially weak.

Campus Life

Campus life and gender ratio are good but the one thing that lacks is extracurricular activities and indulgment in sports activities. Otherwise there are various clubs which organize events but are limited.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. There are three hostels in total i.e 2 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. One hostel is little bit old in infrastructure while the other one is a new one and owns basic facilities which are required for smooth running of hostels.

Yes they are helpful but not in frequent contact and is provided to only a special group of people.

Admission

I got admission in this college through the merit list and i took the course ECE and i opted it because i had interest in electronics and explore that part. I love reading the subject's related to it.

Faculty

Facilities do provide easy access for doubt clarification whenever they remain free and they always appreciate for clearing doubts.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

My College Life.

I didn't applied in any other colleges. I joined this college because the rules and regulations and the faculty members are good. The college provides an average placement of 9 LPA to the students and placements of highest package 25 laksh in MNCs like Accenture,Tata,Texas Instruments etc. To get admission in my college a student have to clear JEE exam with a good percentile and have to book seat and then have to wait for the joining list to be released by the college once it is released the student can get admission by paying the joining fees on the joining date...Read More
