Deshbandhu College is the oldest and best college of South Campus, DU It has great Academic Faculty in all major disciplines and less with all facilities ( Infrastructure, sports, extra curriculum, societies, student council and elections) for overall development of student.

The college provides you the best platform to explore new things and develop yourself in all spheres as much you can. We had updated academic and the University itself regulates syllabus in a timely manner. In fact in Deshbandhu College student get chance to freely visit major news channels like INDIA TV, NDTV and take part in important national debates. Faculty was the best specially for Political Science. few professor whom i admire most are - Ms. Neetu Ma'am, Mr. Valte Sir(Pol. Science), Mr. Jha sir (History)

Amazon, TCS and other companies do visit Deshbandhu College. Entrepreneurship Cell of college regularly organises seminars, workshops related to resume building, GD, and invite major MBA holders and professionals etc and play good role during placements of students.

Campus life was good, It regularly organises various seminars, talk shows, Elite personalities like IAS, IPS, Journalist, Professor from major University visits here. Also the various academic departments in college organises its own seminars and fest. (Eg. Political science department fest) it also hold departmental election too. Deshbandhu college celebrates SABRANG as its Annual fest every year. Here you got a chance to enjoy 2 nights without any load on mind. Bollywood as well as Punjabi stars come in College fest and other inter college competition are also held in singing, dancing, painting, fashion designing, Debates, etc in which other colleges participate.

College offers various scholarship program for needy students and also update them for national and state scholarship in a timely manner. Also the College has Banking facilities in campus so the administration also helps students to avail study loan through college.

Infrastructure is really good. It is 80% equipped for physically challenged students. It has gymnasium, dedicated Sports room, archery ground, basketball and badminton court. This college has huge Canteens(2), library is magnificent now after removal of Ramanujan administration from Deshbandhu College, library has many features like digital magazine, newspaper, lots of books ( oldest and new ones). Labs are also good equipped with all safety measures. One can feel the quality of labs while performing experiment.

I would say it is a major setback for Deshbandhu College beacuse it hasn't any in campus Hostel. But you can easily get rooms or PGs near it at most affordable price. This is situated near Govindpuri, Nehru place. Here you can the most affordable pgs with nice food facilities available. Average rentals - 3-4000 per month / Student.
