College IEM

College is a good place. Just they take the college hours very seriously. A student should be given the freedom of attending the class they personally like not like forcing every student to attend every class . Our infrastructure is very poor perhaps one of the worst.

Yes it's very much responsible Regular seminars and foreign researchers visits our college to make us a better student for the future. Placements are of top notch it's the second best in our city Kolkata. Product based as well as service based companies visits our college.

Yes college placements are above average in our city, Kolkata. Regarding internship college don't provide any placements but they allow us to go for internships and make up for the classes missed during the internship.

Maker fair is one of biggest tech fest in our city. Cultural fest Iempact is not that famous and not much of interest Tho our Iem marathon which is sponsored by many private companies is one of the biggest and successful marathon in our city. Participants in 1.cultural fest is low ->400-700 2. Maker fair is high -> 2000-3000 3. Marathon is high -> 2000-2600

Yes it's bit on the higher side. But considering its a private college it's understandable. Yes around 80k INR is asked for admission as a fee. Yes it provides transparency in the fee breakdown. It's feasible for most people and provides scholarship for underprivileged students.

Nope I have not taken any scholarships but there is a education fee layoff for underprivileged students but I am not sure of the procedure.

Gender ratio : 800 girls for 1000 boys. There is no student parties as our college doesn't give that much freedom. Every month there is more than 2-3 workshops. Less amount of diversity is found as it's a Kolkata based college. There is no discrimination at any basis of gender, race , ethnicity, politics or religion.

I have not availed the hostel facility but there is hostel facility. It costs on an average 75K to 100K per year. Price depends the amount of facilities like AC non-AC rooms and number of students in a room. If you take the 100K room you'll get the best facilities. According to me it's on the higher side . Normal standard facilities like washing, cleaning , fan, four time meal ,bed, study table is provided at the lowest package also.

Yes there is good relationship in the network with the alumni. I have not a good relationship with any of the seniors as I don't find them coming to college regularly or neither interested to talk anyone other than their friends.

It's the second best College in our West Bengal entrance exam. Last year NIRF rank was 103. Best college of MAKAUT University. So only top students of WBJEE cloud only afford to take part in IEM. Specially the CSE branch is very much in demand. You need to have a rank around below 3K.

There are around 100-150 faculties including the lectures for 6 branches of students. Average age would be around 40-45. Qualifications rank from PhD holders to post graduate TAs. Most of the senior faculties hold a good qualifications and are easy to approach for any help regarding academic curriculum.
