Remarks

The reason I chose this college: it is one of the best and oldest dental college in Himachal Pradesh,has excellent staff, infrastructure,ground, dental chairs. They teach academic as well as clinical concepts very well.

Course Curriculum Overview

We are taught through powerpoint presentation as well as on-board. Yes we are provided with a lot of exposure. The academic courses are precise and taught in a very nice way.All the faculty members are equally good.

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

College Events

Campus life is fun. We can walk around in the campus early morning as well as in the night till around 9pm festivals are celebrated, Sports and cultural meet is held every year. Many college level and inter-college competitions are held.

Campus Life

Everything is well equipped in our campus. We have a gym, football/ cricket ground, volley ball ground, basketball ground, badminton courts,TT. Library is equipped with AC,fans can accommodate 150+ students easily

Hostel Facilities

Hostels , we have a seperate hostel for the first years. Hostel rooms are single, two and three seaters. Pg's 5000-6500 per month. It is very easy to avail hostel. Interns generally prefer staying in Pg's.

Hostel Fee: INR 85000 per year

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
