Remarks
It is the best institute of bihar after IIT Patna and NIT Patna. It has good environment. All the essential facilities like labs,workshop,machines,etc are available here. The professors and staffs are good. Cultural and sports activities occur regularly. It has placement problem as number of companies arriving in the college is not very more but the number is increasing every next year. Also it provides good platform to you if you want to do something different like startup,entrepreneurship. In addition to this MIT is winning the title of SIH(Smart India Hackathon) WINNER from consecutive 2 years. Overall it is good college than North eastern NITs as many students have chance to get N/E NITs but didn't go there.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Civil Engg. Btech 4 years.My course curriculum is pretty thorough and informative. It was a treat for inquisitive students to understand the corporate working model with the right context and live examples. We got to learn about managerial concepts, quantitative techniques and decision making among others. Our final CGPA was calculated on the basis of internal assessments, external exams, internship reports and dissertations.
Placement Experience
The placement inside the college is not in very good condition but it is improving year by year. But the organisations that generally visited our college were all reputed and highly advanced in their field. Companies like HCL,TCS,IBM India,Prism johnson Ltd. And many more visit every year and select good students with decent packages. Even last year a student placed in IT company with a package of 25 lpa. Also the alumni network is very good too.
College Events
The college understands the need of students to engage into activities beyond academics. Formation of various students clubs are aimed towards combining academic learning with non academic activities and engagement. The purpose of these clubs is to encourage participation, ownership, develop leadership abilities and seek to ensure that students get interactive opportunities to express themselves.
Campus Life
The campus has large boundaries.Various sports and cultural clubs are present in the college so that all- round development of students occur. It contains cricket ground, volleyball ground, football ground,badminton court, auditorium for cultural activities. The library is in very good condition and almost all books related to the subjects and extra ones are available. All labs are well equipped and all machines are active.
