An awesome journey

The journey in the college made me learn so much. I got a wealth of knowledge from this place as well as several good friends and mentors. My college had strict rules and were taught to obey those rules. Deadlines and all were very strict.

WBJEE, Rank-17195. The college has excellent faculty and the campus placement records are very good. Lots of top MNC's visit the campus for placements.

The course structure is very good and useful. It covers the core subjects as well as the subjects required for campus placements. After joining the software industry, i found the course to be particularly useful. The optional subjects selected by the company were very useful. The mix between the core subjects, IT subjects and the humanities subjects were very good.

My college provided me an insustrial training with BSNL. We were not provided any stipend but we got a thorough understanding on the communication industry.

Excellent. I myself got placed in two MNC's. Lots of top MNC's came for recruitment. Most of the students in my batch got placed. The salaries that were offered were decent. Companies like SAP, Oracle, TCS, IBS, Capgemini, Hitachi, Tek Systems, Yodlee, Godrej and many others came to our college.

We have two fests in our college every year, a technical fest where we have several competitions like codiing, gaming, circuit making, microprocessor etc. There's a cultural fest too having all the cultural events where the students and faculty perform and two celebrity performers are brought every year.

Fee Structure is feasible. It is standardized by the state government. Every year it is standardized by the state government. The fee structure is relatively lower compared to other states. Even compared to other private colleges in Kolkata, it is relatively less expensive.

Scholarships and fee waivers are available for people whose family income is below a certain level. Loan is also provided by college.

Gender ratio is decent. Theree is a good proportion of both males and females in the college except for mechanical and electrical departments where the proportion of males are far more than females. There are sports meet during the tech fest. Robotics events, debates all these are organised during the tech fest. There are several workshops also on these activities.

Hostels are bit expensive compared to the pg's available near the college. The wi fi facilities are also not that good in the hostel. Food available is good. Rooms are not that spaceous. But there are monthly feasts and yearly campfires which are enjoyable. There are yearly football leagues for hostelites also.

Alumni network is helpful although not that much. Not many seniors remain connected after going to the industry. Even then, there are several seniors who visit the college.

Exams were very strict and the guards were also very strict. Lab exams were very thorough, although I enjoyed the lab exams. Theory exams were a mixed pack with some questions being repeated from previous year papers while others being new and tough.

I got admission by WBJEE rank and then we had to appear for an online counselling, where i gave this college as one of my preferences, from there on I got this college.I was notified to visit the college on a particular date and there I procured the form and submitted it with the required documents.

The faculties were very knowledgeable. They were friendly and they helped us overcome the problems that we faced. The things they taught made our base and even to this day, that base comes in handy in the industry. I would definitely rate the faculty pretty high.
