Remarks

School of Open Learning (SOL) is the best call for those who scored low percentage but want to have a degree from Delhi University (DU) or those who need to work but wish to continue with their education. I have learned so many things, through this portal doing graduation from DU it is really awesome I am happily earning a good income.

Entrance Preview

Based on my 12th standard marks there was no entrance, DU (SOL) really help those who want to be self independence.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

An effective assessment strategy is based on clear, explicitly stated goals and objectives. This chapter guides you through the process of writing course goals and objectives, identifying existing assessment methods, and analyzing your syllabus. Syllabus applicable for students seeking admission to B.Com in 36% in the total of university examination and internal assessment together the second year class and take subsequently the examination in the remaining.

Internships Opportunities

No i started working when i was in 2nd year, there was no point of internship and all and nothing provided by college.

Placement Experience

2

No placements was provided by college as it is SOL but still i am exploring a lot and learning on a daily bases./. Corporate industry is very huge, i need to learn so many things. So just waiting for the right time lets hope for the best. SOL is best for those who want to be self independent.

College Events

2

You've heard the advice before get involved, join a club. At Nassau there's an especially important reason to do so. We're a very large commuter college. Involvement is a good way to develop relationships with other students and to create a sense of community for yourself and others.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very low and affordable they charge you about Rs 4000 a year and they give you study materials abroad. You don\'t need any loans or scholarships at all. These are preferred by mainly CA students as they don't have to attend the classes regularly and they can easily do their study and article-ship. These are also preferred by job doing students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid. They may take the form of University scholarships, federal or state grants, or outside scholarships. A financial aid package at NYU takes into account both financial need and academic merit. Although merit-based scholarships are available, NYU is committed to using the vast majority of its scholarship funds to assist students whose families are unable to pay the full cost of an NYU education. All applicants to NYU are automatically considered for merit based aid with the on-time submission of the admissions application; however, it is important to note that a majority of the undergraduate scholarships at NYU are based on a combination of need and merit and require filing all financial aid applications by our deadlines.

Campus Life

3

I miss so much my college life with my friends punishment after bunk very good infrastructure & faculty. very nice canteen & canteen food so tasty at reasonable price specially i miss the samosas of college canteen. placement is also good a special class of sports many type of accessories of sports a very big play ground & separate 3 park boys & girls hostel & parks also. air conditioner rooms or labs. The students who want to enjoy their college life should never dare to take admission in.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels and mess depends from college to college all the good colleges have nice hostels and once you enter college, you wont rely on mess food all the time and try the outlets situated here and there otherwise too they are hygienic and there is no problem with that but sure you don't get Ac in this scorching Delhi heat.

Alumni/Alumna

When choosing colleges, students put a high priority on finding the best academic programs for their field of study. While this is obviously important, another factor that potential students should consider is the alumni network at each of their prospective choices. Alumni networks do more than help fund Alma Maters; they become a professional and personal community to aid graduates in advancement throughout the course of their lives. With this in mind, the university or college one chooses for undergraduate, and post-graduate work becomes more than only a place to garner an education. It is also a place to build the foundation for their future.

Exam Structure

The School of Open Learning (SOL) is a pioneer institution in the field of correspondence education in India. School of Open Learning (SOL) is a part of University of Delhi. The School of Open Learning offers Undergraduate/Post graduate Degree courses in the subject of Arts/Humanities and Commerce. The mode of instruction at SOL is primarily through well prepared printed course material which is distributed at the time of admission or by mail to all the enrolled students. This is also supplemented through Personal Contact Programme (PCP) conducted at various study centers run by the School of Open Learning.

Faculty

3.5

Assessment activity is not yet an explicit part of the faculty reward system but is taking on more institutional importance. Assessment can also benefit you professionally by improving your teaching skills and facilitating your interactions with students, which are important to the faculty reward structure in addition, many grant funding agencies now require strong assessment components to any projects designed to improve teaching and learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
