Remarks

Management is good takes into consideration the student needs. College is student driven there is a council, headed by the President and a Vice President.

Entrance Preview

SNAP score: 59.5, percentile: 92.58 I wish to take up Finance specialization. And, SIBM has a locational advantage for Finance sector, with major banks and companies having their offices in Bengaluru.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is a good mix of internal and external courses. External courses covering the basic concepts of more or less all the fields, provide a holistic outlook of the business world. It covers finance, operations, marketing, HR, accounts, etc. Moreover, the internal courses provide a practical knowledge of the business world, with subjects like business environment with Indian as well as global context. There are subjects like CSR, Creativity and Innovation, and the very useful subjects like technology in business, to help students learn MS Excel as it is one tool that is very handy in the corporate world. All in all, the course structure is well thought out.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. It provides internship in good companies. It has a formalized internship season beginning in September, which goes on until January, until all the students are placed. There are 100% internship placements. Average stipend: 45000 (Total stipend for the internship period, not monthly).

Placement Experience

3

With the locational advantage, the college has very good placements with major companies and banks in the region. The average package growing year by year, the college has seen a huge growth in 9 years of its establishment. Highest placement package has seen a huge jump since the last year, which will be evident in the placement report of the college.

College Events

1.5

The events take place almost every month, starting with UTOPIA, the international relations event. Then, comes various other events like UTTHAAN, which is done for the children from various nearby orphanage. Other events are ALCHEMY, the management conclave. REVELATIONS, the flagship event of SIBM. Alumni events like Samaagam, Samaavesh, etc.

It is around 1380000. 1380000 is to be paid in four instalments. It includes a 35000 refundable security amount, and 35000 of pre induction course fee. Yearly mess fees is 45000, and yearly hostel fees is 75000. The instalments are : 475000, 250000, 405000, 250000. According to the average package, it is expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no knowledge about this i took a loan from Axis Bank, at a rate of 11% same can be applied from Credila, SBI, etc. depending on the need.

Campus Life

3.5

Good facilities for recreation. Badminton, TT, Pool, basket ball debate competition, sports events, quizzes, etc. The Extra curricula-rs committee and the Conferences and events committee come up with a lot of events gender ratio will be 55:45 (M:F).

Hostel Facilities

3

It includes both the south Indian as well as north Indian food we get fairly good breakfast, with boiled eggs on some days, and bananas for Vegetarians. The lunch has good variety of dishes, so is the case with the dinner. The food quality is okayish the dinner isn't very good.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very approachable on Facebook and LinkedIn annual event takes place, called Samaagam, which calls around 200-300 alumni. We can connect with them.

Exam Structure

The evaluations are done on a continuous basis, which spreads the burden over the entire semester rather than at the end of the semester. These include the presentations and online tests/quizzes. The final exams take place without any gap, day after day.

Admission

The process involves GE-PI-WAT It was a well organized process; well coordinated by the Admissions Committee (Ad-Com). Fairly evaluated on the performance which involves a GD, followed by a written ability test (usually a summary of the GD in writing), and then the personal interview. (Interviewers have your CVs).

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of the college are a good mix of academicians with years of experience in teaching with some professors who have actually worked in the industry for good amount of years. This helps the students to learn from very practical approach, which is encouraged by the faculty. They use real corporate life examples to make the students understand the concepts.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
