Remarks

It is a very good research college, one of the top colleges to learn Economics with teachers with great experience. And being in Pune is very big advantage, since it is a great place to live. There four courses, it depends on your entrance marks which course you get. It has decent placements as well. It is very good for people who want to pursue in research work related to Economics.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was decent, need some updation and more of practical knowledge. Regular assignments were given so that we can learn more about the particular subject. The faculty over there are experts in their fields and know there subjects very well. You can learn a lot from them.

Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement are decent, the highest package given was 1500000 by JP Morgan Chase. A lot of companies visit like citi, Baja finance, hsbc, axis bank, fractal Analytics, think analytics, vodafone, india infra, ken research, delloite, SG Analytics. Mainly they all were analytics related profile. Some profile come for research as well. Alumni networking is decent.

There is hostel and every event is organised there only because all students live in that hostel.Every festival is celebrated in the hostel only like holi, ganesh chaturthi, dandiya, sahi handi. The hostel Life is the best where you can have a lot of fun with all your friends. There are various clubs which you can join.

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

Reality of my college life

The admission was through an entrace exam,I don't know about the cutt off,I got in the 1st list itself. The eligibility was you secure more than 60% in 12th standard.The details about this exam is found in their website called GIPE.There are certain amount of seats reserved for different categories,but tuition is same cross the line.The entrace examination is conducted once a year,it is a medium range exam and the course exams are really tough.I wish the admission was online and more detailed information could me provided....Read More
