Remarks

The best part of this college is infrastructure as Shyama Prasad Mukherji college has one of the most amazing infrastructures in Delhi university. It has 2 buildings and a big ground where students can chill and enjoy during their break time. And another cherry on the cake is the college canteen which is spacious and has good quality hygienic food at an affordable rate. However, the college has all the good aspects but one of the worst parts of this college is the washroom facility. They are not properly cleaned and are very unhygienic. Moreover, the fans in the classroom don't work properly. Nonetheless, in all the college is good. The admission process in this College is comparatively easy as it is done on a merit-based that is based on 12th standard marks. The cut off list is released and if you fulfil the criteria, you will be selected. One of the main reasons for preferring this college because it is situated in Punjabi Bagh that is safe for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am currently pursuing BCOM. I chose this course because it is comparatively easy and you can focus on your hobbies along with the studies. The students are large in number as compared to faculty. However, the faculty is helpful and intellectual. Mostly the teachers of my course have done PhD and there isn't any specified teaching method. The teachers teaching practical subjects are quite good as compared to the teachers teaching theory subjects. But in all the faculty is quite hardworking and tries their level best to provide the students with the best. The external exams take place in a gap of six months whereas the internal assessment starts 15 days after you join the new class in the new session. Though the exam level isn't that difficult if you have worked hard and prepared for them well before.

Internships Opportunities

2

Our college provides a lot of internships in every field which is useful for many. Most internships give certificate after the time duration of 2-3 months are completed. And the internships which provide a stipend for the work requires an experienced person in that field.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement in my course BCom is not that good. fewer companies visit the campus for the placement such as amazon, Genpact, etc, and very few students are placed rest all opt for going for further studies such as MBA, MCOM, etc. My plan after graduation is to go for higher studies that are an MBA because there is a lot of scope of getting a top company after doing an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studying BCom at Shyama Prasad Mukherji college is quite feasible. The cost ranges from 8000-10000 depending upon the year you have passed. The cost is suitable for all kinds of people as they cost so less and provides excellent service. The campus placement in the college is quite difficult as for this course, very fewer companies visit and select a few students for the placement. However, there are a lot of internships provided where you can learn and gain experience.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of this college is full of fun as there are many societies in the college where you can enrol yourself and participate in many college events. The annual fest conducted by the college is quite amazing as from different colleges, various students participate under different events and they are conducted mostly in February or March month. our college has 2 storey library where all types of books are available from the college books to the various novels. The classroom of the college is spacious and has many windows and has basic amenities such as a proper blackboard with the availability of chalks and a duster and proper seating arrangement. There are various types of sports in our college such as athletics, basketball, etc., and many extracurricular activities where you can participate apart from studying. The students of our college run an Instagram page of our college for providing basic information.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
