Gauhati University is the one of popular university of assam because of it's cultural events, elections and the oldest university of assam so that it gain much popularity among students and that is the cause i am choosing election because of spent it's whole environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am choosing this subject of women's studies as my discipline because of i want to become more familiar with the women's long term movement for achieving equal opportunity in every sector, equal rights. Faculties are also very much encouraged us. There are also 8 faculties including guest faculty and contractual teacher.
Placement Experience
Placement rate is overall nice. Many of our alumni also getting jobs. Some of them are doing research. Different companies, NGO's visited and offer jobs. Department of women's studies is ovarall good, it has doing alumni meet every year. There are a departmental megazin, departmental library also in there.
College Events
Campus life is really nice. Lots of events helding by Gauhati University. There are many cultural events, cultural night, frshers, versity week, literary festivals, fashion week, traditional attire, and sports events and all the events we are really enjoying a lot.
