Remarks

Cotton university is the first college of Assam(initialy it was cotton college then upgraded as cotton university in 2011); choosing this university for my post graduate course because it's historious glory. And the subject sociology choosing as my discipline because it was my major subject and my area of interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

Sociology is a interdisciplinary course and The subject matter is diverse and can cover anything from race, social class, crime and law, poverty, education and more theoretical wider issues such as the impact of radical change to whole societies. our syllabus is updated with the new global issues. Faculties are very much effortive to teaching us.

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

Not from the university or from the department that we immediately getting job, their is not any opportunity. We have to search for them and teachers are definately help for that and we have the good seniors aswell. There are alumni meet in every year.

College Events

Campus life is very much enjoyable, we enjoyed all the programs because they are very big to organize such as all Assam compitition, among the north eastern region compitition, many cultural programs are holding by the university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love to explore the novels of great writers so i choose the English literature to complete my bachelor degree . The course enhanced the thinking of mine and upgrade the knowledge of literature . I don't think they need a improvement on teaching . But exam timing isn't fine . 9 AM isn't untolarable we can't reached the college too early

5 or 6 semester onwards students are eligible for internships in off campus . They can opt for PPO. There are severe companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, and some top MNCs . overall campus is perfect to spend 4 years

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

True aspects on a University

I choosed the college after my 12 th as I didn't want to lose this year at home studying online for any entrance. But fir sure I will be giving entrance fir other better college .
