In a simple sense i must say that Gauhati University is the heartthrob of Assamese students. Because it is the first university of north east india. Every students of assam along with north eastern india wants to studies in this university. And i think i am fortunate to grab this opportunity. Gauhati is always a evergreen university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is very related to other traditional courses like political science, economics and much more aswell. There are lots of north and south Indian students aswell and some of them are from outside india. There are total 15 faculty members including guest faculty and contractual teachers.
Placement Experience
Sociology is a growing subject now a days. If you want to know about whole conditions of your society then you must have to read sociology. It is a good subject as per the 21st century as i suggest. And no doubt there are also placements & job opportunity aswell after completion of the course.
College Events
Campus life is really enjoyable much. There are many more cultural, literature, sports, cinematic festivals are going on. And it is really enjoyable because of participation. Every versity festival each and every night it's going upto morning. There are also student election in the september Octobor month and these are also like a festive moment.
