Remarks

This college has a great infrastructure. Though some teachers are showing little partiality somehow it is ok. The admin process is too long. This college has more fame than any other college in Chennai. Top colleges in Chennai for arts.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is helpful for my UPSC exam. Teachers have got a PhD. Some teachers have a great experience. Two months once there will be a ca exam. 6 months once there will be a semester exam. CA exam is a little hard to pass and semester exam is easy to pass since all the expected questions appeared in the question papers.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for replacement from 5th semester. They gave an extra class for personality development. They gave lessons for interviews. Cognizant, Infosys etc were the companies visited our college. Not many offers were given to our course. So I don't know about the package. I am about to prepare for my government exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is affordable for all middle classes and students from a poor family. They collected a very low fee compared to another college. It is one of the reasons for me choosing this college. We got a scholarship every year about 3000 and it varies for different community.

Campus Life

Life at the college is awesome. The teachers were too polite except the HOD. The words they used to scold the students were too harsh. Except that everything is good. The teachers are a friendly character. The classroom is big enough. This college gives great importance to sports. This college also has many clubs like retract, yrc, Nss, Ncc etc.

Interview Experience

We don't have any interviews for admission. Since I got my seat on merit so there is no interview for my admission. My native is Cuddalore. After we got a call from this college we came here about 5 times. The travel was too tiring and the admission process is a little long. After I got the admission I applied for course changing.

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. We also have inter-disciplinary courses.
