Entrance Preview

I cracked WBJEE with a rank of 16k+ and during counselling I chose this college. This college had an advantageous location with good mode of communication. Plus I knew alumni who were placed in good MNCs. So I chose this one.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is as per AICTE standard. The focus on research was not much. However I managed to find some enthusiastic faculties who supported my research zeal and involved me in various research projects.

Internships Opportunities

ITC infotech recruits ineterns from our college. Some civil engineering internship scope is also there.

College Events

And international technical conference was celebrated. Other than that, numerous technical workshops, seminars and cultural events are hosted in almost daily basis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. Admission fee was 65k. Later for 7 semesters we paid 40k 7=2.8L . They took 15K as caution money which they haven't returned yet.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is strict. You cannot even copy during the internal exams.

Admission

I booked the seat in the WBJEE couselling itself. They gave us a form. We duly filled that up and went to the college 2 days later. We paid the admission and my admission was confirmed.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The overall campus life and experience is good . Good infrastructure and very nice events.

I applied to scotting church and jis university also. I prefered this college as it is affordable with good reputation and is near my home . I achived 15000 rank in wbjee so according to my rank and location i choose this college.
