NITK wonderful place for learning

Admission procedure to NITK was done by ease without any physical meeting. Admission was completely online. Through Josaa website, you should regularly keep visiting for knowing admission status. Thee College had its own website in which fees was paid through IRIS portal. Admission was secured on 15th of nov. Pros of college: 1.Main reason or plus point of college is Being an NIT. 2.High placement percentage of nearly over 97%. 3.Huge campus of nearly 300 acres. 4.Good instructors who have been highly qualified. Nearly everyone has a research background. Main CONS of college not only this but every college in 2020 is distance learning. Distance learning doesn't develop bonding by teacher and student. The college has a highly competitive atmosphere which won't let you down. These are the main reason for preferring NITK over others.

Well, I choose the EEE course as this is one of the core course. You can move to any field if you choose EEE. They're also a choice for the minor course along with major or cor course. Well, the future is moving towards electricity and it is the most important need to present mankind. You will also be able to move towards research like quantum physics and space science research institute by EEE course. Faculty as no doubt are absolute best in NITK. There will be regular basis evaluation and more weight in marks is given to regular quizzes and assignment with 60 % weightage to quizzes and assignement.

I have been studying at NIT Surathkal for 2 years and have passed out. The institute provides internship during summers within the campus. The internship is mainly based on research in your interest area. However, it's at the professor guide's discrete to accept your application or not. Apart from this, technical students get numerous opportunities to do their internship {summer or winter} with top companies which sometimes turn into full-time employment ie. PPO. Also, there are international internships as the institute has various MOUs with international universities. In 3rd and 4th years, its compulsory and certain credits are allotted to internships, brush up your skills, there are foreign internships too in NITK, for every branch (college-sponsored:p) and you will know the process to apply, etc. with time, so no worries.

The placement drive of 2019 witnessed 100% placements in BTech and 79% placements in MTech. The highest package offered this year was 39 LPA. The number of PPOs has seen an increase of 25% as compared to previous years. Career Development Centre is the placement cell of NITK. It is the job of CDC to invite companies for recruitment and prepare students for the industry. Adobe, Amazon, Capgemini, Century Link, CITI Bank, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, Myntra and Oracle are some of the leading companies visiting this college to hire the students of this college.

As it is a government institution There is a lot of concession in fees for students. If family income is in between 1-5 lakh then there will be 2/3 tution fees concession. If you belong to SC ST there will be complete tution fees concession which alone makes nearly 68000 per sem. Even if you dont get concession there will be a lot of scholarship provided by the college and other private companies.

Campus life at NITK is absolutely wonderful with the lush green campus of about 300 acres you will be definitely enjoying campus life. The green lush campus also helps you to focus on studies. The annual fest is absolutely a beauty to watch with international celebrities also attending the campus. Now coming to campus because we study here for 4 years. The campus is large enough to have basic facilities like hostels, health care centres, sports facilities etc. The hostels are provided with internet facility and also the basic facilities like water and electricity. Sometimes you may face problems with water and internet connectivity. And mess food is not so good (for me, actually subjective) but you will be having food points and canteens in the campus which compliment it.

The infrastructure is very good in Indian standards. And placements will be good as we can see lots of companies visiting the campus throughout the year.
