Course Curriculum Overview

Kalyani government college is under west bengal university of technology university. It has 4 years of course with 8 semesters. There are 5 stream Information Technology, Electronics, mechanical, Electrical and computer science. My stream was information technology and it was very good opportunity for job.

No, Our college does not provide any internship. If any student has interest on it then he or she has to take care of it.

College Events

There are many events in our college like Annual event, Alumni events, Hall day etc. Annual event happens during three days long. Many artists came to perform . There are many category of programme like robotics, dance , singing etc. In alumni all passed out student came college and share their experiences of industry. It is a very good college for cultural activities.

Yes our college provide scholarship facility . There are several scheme to free your fees. As per student guardians annual income and base on result student can get this facilities. The can get full free or half free.

In our college gender ratio almost male:Female 4:3 almost. There are well workshops for mechanical stream electrical , it ece. There are no problem regards gender. All male and female students are friends. In our campus all students stay like friend. Helps each other. We study with great friendly environment. There no issues regarding gender, ethnicity, race , religion, sexual, politics.

Alumni/Alumna

All alumni student came our campus in alumni events and share there experience with us of each domain. It is very helpful of us.

Exam Structure

There are 8 semester. Each semester Held after 6 month. Exam held offline mode one exam per day. For lab exam teacher gave us to write a program on subject base we are assigned computer . We write code on computer. After finish the exam we save it. Teachers are help us a lot .

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University. I will get Jadavpur University printing engineering but I didn't choose. Our college KGEC is in 2nd rank in terms of all benefits.
