Entrance Preview

No entrance exam was required for pursuing b.com as this is the bachelor's degree. Nothing else to fill in this section I suppose.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I had finance major as well as marketing option. So the curriculum was enough to give me exposure to maximize in various fields. The flexibility is given to students in their field of aspirations. Also necessary exposure were given to us in the form of projects.

Internships Opportunities

Unfortunately no internship was provided when we were students. However I am unsure about it now, but it would be good if this were to be implied as it diversifies our knowledge core.

Placement Experience

3

To be honest nowadays most of the colleges are getting good Placements. Our college had nearly 25 companies conducting interviews in campus and 90% of the crowd were hired by one or the other companies. Our faculty had trained us well enough to ensure we land a job in pocket.

College Events

3

We used to have much cultural fests and social activities in college. We even had rallies to drive environmental cleanliness every quarter. We also had sports conducted intra college to recognize sporting talent within students. Award ceremonies to the alumni for achieving heights in their field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very much feasible as this is a govt aided college and everyone can afford it. Higher and middle class can afford it with ease, lower class will get scholarship from college committee based upon family income and nothing else. Very few colleges do that as most of them are money minded.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about loans but yes we have scholarship for under privileged students to inspire them on studies. Since I have not availed any of these, so it would not be fair to comment on this.

Campus Life

2

A simple campus with not much complicated structure to surf upon. The ratio goes to 40:60 for men and women. Women being dominant in a co-ed college, that's rare eh? Extracurriculars like music classes, NSS, NCC were always supported. Since am commerce student, I am unsure of lab facilities. Sports, competitions were periodically conducted and it was fair enough.

Hostel Facilities

3

We do not have hostel or mess food facilities. But we did have subsidized canteen to accommodate everyone's needs. As mentioned earlier, people with scholarship would get free food and others would get food at much discounted price with good quality food served. No complaints regarding this.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network in not well connected so older the batch, the more stranded you are. I guess we should have a committee from college to conduct alumni meets often to keep open source of generation.

Exam Structure

It was mediocre, not so chilled and not too hectic to. We were having periodic tests to keep us well prepared for the finals. Also most of the tests were based upon the projects and field research done by us, so that we know what we are doing. So today whatever I am is all because of those efforts.

Admission

Based upon the scores I secured in my pre university examination, also I had to complete the necessary paperwork to confirm my education qualification. A discussion with the principal of the college to choose required subjects with scores secured in the particular subject in pre university exams.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty were brilliant in terms of knowledge and the basic expectations from a faculty is to make students understand the subject. I guess this college has a best faculty who are experts in their jobs and every student will be thankful like me to them.

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all
