INTERNSHIPS AND PLACEMENTS

Kirori Mal College is one of the highest-ranked colleges for B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics. The online classes are well organized and systematic. The crowd, the campus, and the teachers are awesome. The teachers are very helpful and experienced. It has all the features that one aspires to get in DU - the life of North Campus, cultural activities, societies, placements and co-ed college. The only drawback in this college is the lack of a girls hostel. It is well known for its cultural activities and fests thus providing more exposure and experience. It has also got a placement cell, a student-oriented body for providing internships along with studies there and for placements after the course. The admission procedure is the same as all the colleges of the University of Delhi. No separate registration is required.

I am a commerce student and I chose this course because of my particular interest in Mathematics. This is a technical course and therefore has a higher value than easier and basic courses like B.Com or B.Com (Hons). You don't have to be a science student to pursue this course, you just need to have Mathematics as one of your major subjects. One section consists of 45-50 students. Because of online classes, there occur some technical problems but the teachers are very supportive and helpful. They teach according to the method preferred by students. They are highly qualified and well versed in both English and Hindi. Internal assessments were held within a month of teaching. They are easy to pass for anyone who has attended the classes alertly.

Internships offer an average stipend of INR 10k and the highest stipend offered to date is INR 50k. The average package is of INR 5.57 lpa. The highest package offered was INR 20.5 lpa (according to data of 2018-19). The companies which recruit from Karori mal college include - IDBI, mckinsey, and company, Indian oil corp. Ltd., ernst, and young global delivery services, Oyo, de shaw & co., Deloitte, byju's, inshorts, Wipro.

Being a government college, the fees are minimal and the cost of studying relies upon the costs of living in Delhi. All the scholarships offered by the central government are applicable. Internships are provided and anyone qualified enough and selected for an internship can do so with an additional benefit of attendance during the internship. The starting package of the stipend is Rs.10,000/-.

The infrastructure is really nice. There are many societies for students run by students: 1. DEBSOC (debates) 2. MUSOC (music) 3. SENSATION (dance) 4. SPIC MACAY (performances) 5. FAPS (fine arts and photography) 6. FOSTAS (foreign students) 7. THE PLAYERS (theatre) and THE PLACEMENT CELL.
