Entrance Preview

A written english comprehension test and a personal interview was all that was taken apart from the basic eligibility percentage .

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is quite good and developmental. Apart from the focus on the basic core subjects extra skill development and co-circular subjects are also included from time to time. Also one foreign business language is compulsory to take which makes up for an added advantage.

Internships Opportunities

It does provide internship along with the junior research fellowship for designated courses. The stipend basically depends upon the department and the type of project taken in based on the grounds of funding or no-funding.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good. Students who actually want to get placed would certainly get placed although not for their dream package. The compensation provided mostly is quite average. The placement process Invitation along with request for Campus Recruitment and JAF (Job Announcement form) are sent to recruiters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan services are provided by banks associated with the college from time to time generally Allahabad bank. I was lucky enough to get a scholarship myself. Their are apt scholarships and respective criteria which covers up for both the needy and the bright ones.

Alumni/Alumna

There is not a lot to it. But I have attended seminars and workshops which have ex alumnus and senior people taking up the initiative to give the juniors as much as they can.

Exam Structure

The exams are taken up quite often. For a semester they have 1 mid term exam, 1 final semester exam and various tutorial classes almost every week. Then their are practicals, assignments and projects that add up to the total that you score for each subject. Their are also games and sports added as subjects whose exams are conducted practically and a small written assignment.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is good and more than just qualified to take up their subjects. Most of them have gone up to their doctoral levels and have immensely better level of teaching and knowledge based potential that helps students. They lead in research and innovation fields coming from the various publications, patents and projects these faculties have undertaken.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Reviewed on Apr 7, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
