Remarks

DTU have an awesome reputation for placements in India. A lot of students get international offers. The coding culture of the college is good, the students are awesome here. The cons of this college are professors. They are the biggest bad factor in college. The only thing mattered to them in attendance. In this college, if you have an Electrical branch then most of your time getting wasted in travelling between admin and hod office. The admission in DTU got through JAC in which there are 4 colleges. DTU, NSIT, IIITD, IGDTU. I prefer DTU because it's the best college in Delhi after IIT Delhi. I mostly read quora at the time of admission because they carry good source for information.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose Electrical Engineering because this is the best branch which I can get at DTU. This is one of the good branches of DTU. Faculty to student ratio is around 17:1. Most of the teacher are MTech or PhD. DTU follow CPI rule for exams the CGPA is based on the overall result of the class. There ks fewer exams like midterms and end terms.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are a lot of internship opportunities available. Some companies like google, morgan Stanley, texas instruments came to campus for hiring interns. The amount of stipend, they gave is quite good ranges from 20 thousand to 1.5 lakh rupees per month. There are about 30-50 companies came for an internship. There is also USIP in which college provide internship at the campus with little stipend like 3-5k. There are some projects going on like in biodiesel lab. Some are in the Electrical department related to electrical vehicles.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 7th sem, you will get eligible for campus placement. There are a lot of companies visits the campus, you will definitely get an offer. There are around 200 plus companies visits the campus some major recruiter is morgan Stanley, amazon, Codenation, Flipkart, optum. Dozen of student got international offers in crores, these companies like Bloomberg, Google, Optiver, waymo, Twitter. The average package of electrical engineering is around 10 lakhs. Almost every student who sits for placements got placed. My plans for the future are getting a placement the go foreign for further studies. After completing studies start companies here in tech side and help people.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees go on in increasing every year. In 2017 when I took admission fees was around 1 lakh 45 thousand. Now it's around 2 lakh for 1 year. There is a lot hike in fees in the coming year. There is various type of scholarship available some are available to Delhi candidates and some merit cum. The branch topper gets 10000 reverts back. Merit cum scholarship. Delhi govt scholarship. Some foreign scholarship for international students. On the third year there are a lot of intern opportunities .some students get more than 50k stipend. Some even get 1lakh /month in an internship. At my time google came at the campus for internship opportunities. Amazon, Morgan Stanley, detsuche bank, NY bank, arcesium, codenation. There are a lot of opportunities. A lot of people get 20 lakh above placement offers. Ther are dozen of a student who got international offers too. In my branch, electrical engineering two students got international offers above 1cr from Bloomberg and google.

Campus Life

4

There are too many societies. DTU holds one of the largest north India cultural fests in the month of February 'Engifest'. A lot of singers, artists came in these fest . There is a fest of ecell. There is a huge library which contains too many books varies from all the branches. The amenities it offers good. New hostel construction is going on. The nee hostel will be multi-storey. Construction of sac is going on. The student here forms a different society from racing car society to dance society. 50+ societies are there in our college. There is a good facility for extracurricular. There is a football court. There js kabaddi court. Cricket pitch. Internal court for badminton. There are some clubs like an inferno. Team Raftaar, Hertz Electrical, these are some of the well known group. One should try entering in these groups.

Interview Experience

3.5

The entrance is based on JEE Main score. The admission is through JAC counselling. A lot of students take part in counselling. After jee mains result usually 1 month or 2 months the JAC portal opens. You have to check the site frequently to know about this. The criteria for admission 60 percent in boards and a good score in JEE Mains. The cut off for general is too high. You must take care of this. There will be no interview. The counselling takes 6-7 round ane then spot round.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
