Remarks

Our college is very good at teaching and there are various events and sports held in our college. It is a very reputed college and is very well known. There is nothing such as bad stuff in the college. Everyone Is very well maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose BCom as u wanted to become a graduate in commerce and this is the only course which I could do along with chartered accountant. Bcom is the easier of all and also very well scoring and easy subjects. The students in BCom section are about 350-400 and it's divided into 3 classes. The teachers use the presentation method to review the book. They explain us in various ways such as PowerPoint presentation slides and even with an explanation. During the lockdown, the exams were online which was held for an hour and 60 marks paper. We had to answer 40 out of the 50 questions. It was a bit confusing at first but got along with the exams. It was not very difficult as it was MCQs but it was tough.

Internships Opportunities

4

Around 10 companies have offered the students for internships with a stipend of 2000 in the beginning. Various companies come up in a month to offer the students a job and these internships help the student to learn about the company and help them get a job in future

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements are mostly started at the end of the second year and start of the third year. There are many companies such as Morgan Stanley which have made many offers. The placements are based on the C.V and the skills provided by the students. My plans after getting the degree are mostly to work in a bank or become an air hostess.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in the college are very less compared to other colleges. It approximately 7000 to 8000for a BCom student. The fees differ according to the courses. there are many scholarship and intern based jobs offered to you by the college

Campus Life

4.5

The main fest of our college is mosaic and it mostly in the month of October. It has always gone grand but this year we couldn't help it. There is a big library in the college which various and different authors. The students need to have a library card to borrow a book. Classroom ls are very good and spacious. There are various sports held in the college like football, basketball, volleyball, etc. Many activities suck as DLLE, NSS and traditional day.

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
