AUGUSTYA RAJ's Review On Central University Of Jharkhand - [CUJ], Ranchi

I appeared in CUCET(Central Universities Combined Entrance Test) 2014 which was held on 26-27 April 2014. I scored 61 marks in it and the admission was going to be processed under the score of 40% of 10+2 marks and 60% CUCET score. It was a counselling and then my name appeared and I got admitted in Centre for English Studies.

My course structure of English Studies is tremendously arranged. It is integrated 5 Years course in English Language and Literature i.e. BA+MA (though anyone can leave after BA). It consists of 10 semesters and every semester has 4 papers or more. Three sessions are held during a semester and then one-semester exam then semester end break which falls on December for the odd semester and May-June for the even semester.

Yes, our college provides it specifically in technical branches like engineering and Physical Science. MBA, Mass com, English and Internation Relations also provides their student internships. Some are unpaid and some paid. But they installed us at a good place to get experience.

Placements are all for our technical branches and MA and Mass com. This year highest placement was 8.5 Lakhs per year and the average were 5 Lakhs per year. Many companies are interested in processing placement programs in CUJ. Some are private and some are governmental. They got highly efficient students from here. We all here get highly educated in the stint of 5 years.

Many events are perpetually being held in our university. Inaugurated by our Vice-Chancellor and the concerning authorities, events are much fruitful for us in a practical manner. In the particular seminars for the centres, only the concerning students of the centre participate in it but when it comes to any cultural events, festival then whole university's students make their participation in it.

If you ask for the technical centres like engineering then the fee structure is very less i.e Rs 11300 per semester and if It comes to the arts centre or humanities then it is slightly expensive i.e Rs 8300 per semester. Concerning the physical science centres, it is commendable fee i.e. Rs 6300 for Applied Mathematics and Rs 8300 for Applied Physics and Applied Chemistry.

Yes, we have many scholarships in our college like freeships and e-Kalyan. Banks also give the loan to study in this university very easily.

Campus life is awesome over here. The evening is very beautiful with all students and a canteen. Outside the gate many shops and fast food corner. Two restaurants are there outside the university gate. Sports are usually take place in the university, inter-university championship or inter-center which is for very sports especially for Badminton, Table-tennis, Cricket, Football, Kho-Kho, Atheletic, etc.

Exam structure is very powerful over here. CUJ conducts 3 sessional and 1-semester exams in a semester. Out of 100 marks, they take 40 marks from sessional and 60 marks from semester exams. Out of which they conclude a semester result. Classes are starts on 9 and end to an hour break at 1:30. Then from 1:30 to 4:30.

I had got the details of CUCET from Hindustan Newspaper. Then I fill the form-Rs 500 for 1 course and Rs 600 for 2 courses. I appeared in the entrance for admission in English and BA, B.ed. Then CUCET results came in June and final merit list of the Central University of Jharkhand. I went for English Studies. And top 200 candidates were called for 1st counselling then I got admitted in that.

The faculties are highly qualified in their area of specification. Of course,they teach us the particular course and they all are UGC NET qualified candidates and having experience more than 10 to 20 years of teaching. We have many guest faculties too with the new enthusiasm for teaching and they are giving their best to.
