IIT JEE. Admission process is pretty simple and very smooth. It was on the merit rank which includes JEE + HSC combined score.

The course structure is little bit outdated as it is affiliated with Gujarat Univeristy. But it has got a univeristy status from 2016 and i am hoping the curriculam will get better as years progress. There are no electives for student. Course pattern is decided by the univeristy and if there is any elective college will decide as per univeristy norms.

It is a very reputed college so external internship is easy to get however they have tie up with limited companies for internship.

This is the real game changer. Placement cell of MEFGI is probably as good as Nirma or PDPU which are reputed in Gujarat. They have tie up with TCS and Jyoti CNC. Recently Think and learn recruited 46 students with starting package of 6 lakhs which is exceptional.

The fee structure is quite expensive when compared to other local college in Rajkot. Studies and data shows that it has highest fee in any college which are under the Gujarat University. For 2013-17 the annual fee was 78000₹ and for 2015-2019 was around 90000₹. However due to high vacany fee is again reduced for 2016-2020 which is around 80000₹ per year. Mode of payment is strictly through check. T

There are no loans available or offered by the college. However they can decrease your fee on the basic of your merit. It depends more on the vacany. And there is also wavier scheme which is only available for Gujarat Students.

Talking about labs and equipments it has all the modern facility. There are also lectures for placement training and other scientific course such as software design. Gender ratio is not so balanced. As the college is in outskirts of city girls prefer less. There is absolutely no racisim or related problem. 90% of students are gujarati in the college.

Hostel facility and mess are decent i would say. Hostel is quite big consisting of three building. However i have heard negative reviews of the mess from my friends as i am a towner. Rental for the hostel is around 75000 per year as of 2013-2017 intake.

Exam structure is moderate not so easy not so tough. It consist of a Midsem Exam during the course of a semester and final exam. You get two attempts to clear midsem. Term work and submission is mandatory to submit before end term exam. You get repeated backlog if you fail twice back to back in a subject.

Administration was very helpful. A staff member guided me in complete process from filling the form to getting my i-card issued and other formalities. And i also got the university portal id and password on the spot. Uniform and lab manuals were also provided whilst admission process only.

There are quite a few experienced faculty. Otherwise faculty are knowledgeable but don't have a good flow over English. For Mechanical and Computer field faculty are quite good and experienced. Faculties are quite interested and ready to help students.
