Harsh Kadamb's Review On Dyal Singh College - [DSC], New Delhi

Been into Dyal Singh had been a wonderful experience. The most loving part of this college is you'll get plenty of time in between consecutive classes to have some fun with friends which surely I would have missed if I was into another college of Delhi University. Students of this college have a friendly nature and helpful. If you're a fresher don't bother you'll be having seniors as a friend from the very first day. College is endorsed with a good playgrounds like a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton, cricket, archery athletics. When it comes to commutation you're not gonna find any other college better than this as college is sharing it's a wall with the metro station. If you're good at dancing then hola the dance society of this college is best among other college society. The thing you're gonna regret about this college is its infrastructure and poor santitaion faculty. Also, it's better to avoid comming to college during elections as there are too much fights during this time.

I had opted for this subject because I've been always passionate about mathematics, which seems like an integral part of my life. When it comes to faculty you're gonna praise to take admission here. Faculty is having highly qualified teachers and they too are likely as a friend with you. Faculty to student ratio would be 1:30 i.e, 1 teacher for 30 students. Faculty includes highly qualified teachers and many of them is at another level of intelligence having theirs on research. They teach you mathematics more like how to apply every concept of it into real life this is something a student need. This course is having semester wise examination i.e, twice a year. Exams are not much difficult to pass difficulty level is average. Moreover, you not find any set in a paper, the same paper for every student.

The college conducts an annual internship fest where many companies visit seeking for best interns. Here you had a chance to enroll in this fest and choose the suitable profile as an intern in the company of your own choice. Being a part of this course you'll be habingich higher chances to get an internship as a subject matter expert in the well known educational company. Where you'll have to deal with subject problems of clients.

The placement cell of this college is one of the best you could ever find. They regularly invite companies for placement. When you reach your last year then you're eligible to sit in the placement process. Students not in their last year is offered internship opportunities. Top companies like Gillette, TCS, Aperion, etc do carry outplacement drives every year in the college so you had a chance to be an employee of these big companies, offering you an annual package of 2-4Lakh. The highest ever placed student is offered Rs.9L annual package. The percentile of student greeting places is low that is about 15-20% of students is placed in every placement drive atmost. Now as I completed my graduation now am planning to start my own coaching which is the best progression you could have after this degree.

Fees of course are legitimate i.e, Rs.10500 for a year and Rs.600 as examination fees. It's a semi-govt college so don't bother about too much hike in fees. If you're from a financially backward class then you could apply for the scholarship on NSP( National Scholarship Portal) where you could find a list of scholarships that you're applying for. Some of my friends were scholarship seekers and they were recovering Rs.10,000 for a year. In the last year of your graduation, you'll be having a great opportunity to be placed in a good company. The placement cell of college brings you a well-reputed company where you can expect a salary of Rs.4-5 L per annum.

The college is well known for its fests. The annual fest of college is 'Priyadarshini' in which you'll be having a chance to enjoy a concert by well-known singers. During my life, I've got the chance to be present in the college annual fest concert of Manjit Aulakh, Hardy Sandhu and many well-known band performances that surely make your feet jump. If you're a book freak then surely you would love the vast library of the college. And you could find every relevant book related to your subjects that you could borrow. If you're good at sports then you could be having a great exposure to participate in intra college competitions of basketball, cricket, archery, volleyball, boxing, kabaddi. You'll be having the guidance of great coaches. College is having a large number of societies like art and culture, dance-traditional and modern, gaming, social service, placement cell,drama, fashion, literature etc. Where you could be having great exposure for your personality growth.
