Entrance Preview
I took many entrance examinations, of which NPAT was one. They never told me my score but just an email which said I was selected for B.Com (Hons.). There was no particular reason for choosing this course, but if you ask me which course I really wanted, it would be economic hons.
Internships Opportunities
I am not quiet sure if the college provides internship, since this is my first year. From what I have heard, they provide us internship from second year onward. If you ask me personally, I have applied to a number of firms for internship myself which includes companies like JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley etc.
Placement Experience
As I said I don't really know about placements and job opportunities, since I am not here for any. School of Commerce (SOC) have dedicated a strong team of some of our enthusiastic young students of the third year of BBA and B.Com (Hons) to form the students’ representation of the placement cell called as the placement cell.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure varies from course to course. For B.com(Hons.), it is 1,25,000. For B.Tech, it is 2,80,000. It does not have any quota for anyone and has a common entrance examination for everyone i.e., NPAT. I will say its expensive, since for someone who has brains and wishes to pursue his studies at a higher level won't be able to afford it.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is kind of tough. We didn't have a gap between two exams, Well its somewhat complicated. We had two exams in one day for internals, and between those two gaps, we didn't have any time for revision. Five minutes before the first test finished, they had already kept the second paper on our desks. Even for our external examination, we do not get any gap in between for revision.
Faculty
The faculty is somewhat nice. I won't say everyone is as helping as one another. Some have a very thorough knowledge and experience of their subject, which makes him/her a expert in their field, and thus, imparts that knowledge to us. While there are still some professors who face some difficulties in teaching us.
