Entrance Preview
I had given the JEE(Main) entrance examination and I had gotten a good rank(i.e. AIR- 278494) so I took admission in one of the good colleges in West Bengal i.e. Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Sonarpur and my stream is Mechanical Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to be a Engineer and mechanism as an Interest so I chose to go for Mechanical Engineering. Since its a private college so the course fee is really too high(about 44,000 INR per semester). Its my first year and first semester now so I don't know enough about it.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, Our college does provide internship. Our college's recruiters are mainly IBM, Infosys, TATA Consultancy Services, Syntel, Wipro Technologies, Cognizant Technology solution and much more.
Placement Experience
Since I just took admission and I'm in first year, I don't know about their package but every year 30% to 40% students are placed. Wipro, Infosys, TATA Consultancy Services, Syntel, Wipro Technologies, Cognizent Technology solution and many more companies visits our campus. They offer minimum 4 lakhs per year approximately.
College Events
Since Its my first year. I don't know enough about my college events but I celebrated Viswakarma Puja and Fresher party in the month of August and September. My experience was overall good. Still waiting for the next event what is going to be held like saraswati puja or something.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is really so high. I've mentioned the details below. Tuition fee- 44,000/-INR, Admission Fee- 5000/-INR, Library cum Book Bank Fee- 4000/-INR. Students welfare Sports and Games- 1000/-INR, University Development fee (Payable to WBUT)- 2,200/-INR , Caution Deposit (Refundable)- 10,000/-INR.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I still didn't get any scholarship or any kind of loan or something by my college. I've applied for an education loan in State Bank of India though.
Admission
At first, I filled up a JEE(main) online form and after downloading the admit card I gave entrance examination of JEE(Main) on 3rd April, 2016 which is Conducted through CBSE and then I got a good rank and then through wbjee board's counselling I got a seat and I got admitted there.
Faculty
My college's faculty is good specially in mechanical department. Our some of the professor are really well qualified namely- Dr. Moloy Mukherjee (Ph.D), Dr. Monoj Kumar Barui(Ph.D), Dr. Sandeep Gosh(Ph.D) and more. They teaches us very well that we don't need to go for tuition.
