Course Curriculum Overview
The College comes under the Pune University. So the course is basically divided into two semesters with 4 phases in each as an engineering student you get sufficient time to prepare for the limited syllabus they have. The curriculum is good the college also organised various events which help students to know things better.
Internships Opportunities
Since this is my first year so I ain't getting any internship. But yeah, different companies do come every year with good packages and placements.
Placement Experience
Various popular companies like Vodafone, Infosys, Bajaj, Accenture,L&T, cognizant, etc. College provides you with good packages . As I said it comes under Pune University and the university provides with the best placements needed you score well in exams. The Sinhgad legacy comes into play here. Good placements for Computers, E&TC and Mechanical, with around 80-90% of the eligible students being placed. IT recorded 100% placements among those eligible for the previous year the average package is around 3 lac per annum.
College Events
Sinhgad College organises a huge event called Sinhgad Karandak held in January in which even the other branches come . Recently they celebrated Navratris with a Dandiya night . The events are held regularly. Also the College doesn't allow to participate in many in the first year because of the studies. However second year onwards students are allowed in all the events held . Technical events like technofest and innofest are also held.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. And if you come under some minority community the fees is very much affordable for the open category it is around 1 lakh which is the Maximum for a student, whatever maybe the category. Minimum varies from 10000 from category to category. Whereas it is 60,500 fir the hostel students.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarships offered by college no idea about the loan facility as I never availed one. But yeah if someone want he can definitely enquirer about it at the college office/admin office they do provide something if you really want.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is not that low the ratio is fine for the Electronics and IT branch whereas it is quite low for the other branches. College contains students of every religion and is very well diversed. The College organises various fests like technofests and innofest . College is very well equipped with football ground , basketball court , tennis court. Students are not allowed to participate in the first year. The college organises special events meant only for the first year students.
Hostel Facilities
I don't stay in hostel but yeah, the facilities are good enough . Though I have tried for the mess food which is quite good. The best part is they provide you with the very hygienic food. The College has two hostels . One of them is right in front of the College building whereas the other is at quite a distance.
Alumni/Alumna
One of the thing I liked about the college is this part. The seniors behave as your colleagues only and be always up to help you. Already I knew some seniors when I joined the college and through them I got to know others. I found everyone very generous and helpful. They guided me so well which was needed to tackle the first few classes.
Exam Structure
The labs doesn't burden you at all. You get 2 hours for one subject a week which is not a burden to students the college exams are held just before the university exams so that the student performs better with more practice of the syllabus. The first year contains of 2 semesters with 4 phases in each . The first two phases are online based and the other two are theory based . So the exam structure isn't very hectic and acceptable.
Admission
As I said the admission was through the MHCET examination you get accessed through your marks and accordingly you get a college after you're alloted with a college you've to visit the College with the College allotment letter and the proper documentation the college admission process was easy and smooth.
Faculty
The faculty is quite good they prepare you strong enough to represent yourself in university exams well through their well prepared notes and presentations better knowledge of the thing is gained through the practicals held. Obviously all the teachers are well qualified to teach in an engineering college. The faculty is well maintained and This helps student a lot and eventually to score good it's been a good experience till now and the things will get even better in the second year.
