The IIM in North

I wanted to learn from the best professors in the country, so I decided to join an IIM. I believed that IIM Kashipur has a good experienced permanent faculty that would help me in my growth and learning. The institute is located close to the Rudrapur industry belt which would provide me with an opportunity to get an on-field experience during live projects. The campus is in the foothill of Himalaya, green lush campus and many other tourist spots nearby would help me to get away some time from the hectic lifestyle of an MBA.

I choose this course because in the first year I would get to learn about all the subjects of management and I could decide which course would best fit for me during the selection of specialization. The faculty to student ratio is good in the institute. The quality of the faculty is best as all of them a huge experience in teaching. Each teacher has their own unique method of teaching. Most of them teach with the help of cases. Where we discuss the cases with our peers in class. We get a lot of ideas from it. The faculty takes a keen interest in their teaching to make the student understand and how a concept can be used in real-life business situations. There are 6 terms in our 2 year MBA program. In a term, there is midterm and end-term, both ae calculated in the final CGPA. If you are since with your work and attend classes and do your reading you would be well equipped to do well in exams. There are marks for class participation, projects, quizzes, and individual assignments.

A large number of companies came to the campus to offer roles for internships and for live projects. The roles offer are very diverse, there is a chance for everyone to work in a project/internship of their liking. Some companies offer PPO if you perform well in them.

The Placement is excellent in the institute. For the final placement of 2020-22, there were 96 companies that come for placement. The average CTC for the batch was 13.82 LPA. The highest was 48.50 LPA for the year.

The fee structure is a little above 15L, but there were subsidiaries given to our batch due to the corona situation. There are scholarship opportunities provided by the institute, which are 1. Need-based, 2. Need cum Merit base, 3. Merit-Based. There are other scholarships that the student of IIM Kashipur are eligible for applying in their respective state and national fulfilling certain conditions.

The annual feast of the institute is the Agnitraya, where various cultural and sports events take place. In 2021 it would be conducted in the month of Feb. We have a well-equipped library with all the advanced tools and technology. There are various club and committees which conduct events throughout the academic year.

The hostel is are well equipped with wifi, Gizer and provide other basic necessities. From the hostel, there is always a great view to watch the greenery around. The food which is given is of top quality. Special food provided during occasions.

In the admission process, they collaborate with their sister IIM's for WAT and PI. The WAT question may be related to current events or some important topics. To get a call for the admission process, you have to perform well in your CAT examination. I prepared for these rounds by going through all the current events in detail and whatever I have in my graduation.
