Remarks
I wanted to do my masters in marketing, as marketing has always fascinated me. IMT is considered to be one of the better colleges for marketing and I also researched the placement opportunities that one gets in IMT and I found them also to be good which also played a major factor in my decision-making process. I had also heard that the student life at IMT is unparalleled with the various clubs, committees or sporting facilities that IMT offers. So all these factors combined helped me make my decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
Till now the faculties that I have interacted with are really great many of them also have work experience and hence the examples which they sight while discussing the concepts in the class are very real in nature which makes the class a lot more interesting.
Internships Opportunities
At IMT many good brands come for the SIPs and form different sectors as well to name a few Godrej, Baja, ITC, Google, Amazon, Hindustan times etc. Last year the average stipend for the SIPs was 80K and this year the process is still going on.
Placement Experience
Some of the best brands that come to the campus are ITC, Google, Amazon etc. The average stipend offered last year was around 80K and the average CTC in final placement was 14 lakhs. All students get a fair amount of chances to get placed at good brands and even there are multiple mock GD & PI sessions held my clubs and committees to prepare the students for the placement seasons.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees at IMT has to be paid in two instalments with one part being paid in the first year and the other being paid in the second. The total fees are of around Rs 17,35,000. There are various scholarships also offered one of them is for academic excellence and the other one is for people from economically challenged backgrounds.
Campus Life
As of now due to COVID, we have not been able to go to the campus but we are part of various clubs and committees where there is a healthy interaction between the batchmates as well as of students across both the years.
Hostel Facilities
At the campus, it is compulsory for all students to stay in the hostels. The hostels are well furnished and air-conditioned. Though the 1st year boys have to stay in CDL which is a bit far from the campus busses are available to take the students to and fro.
Interview Experience
So for me in the admission process, the first round was group exercise where we had to form a strategy for a new messaging app and some constraints were given under which we had to operate. After which the next round was a PI were the questions where kind of generic in nature.
