I was selected for Supplementary additional program of IIM Bodhgaya and had my joint interview of Jammu and Bodhgaya on the first week of March. SAP process is a new process conducted by baby IIMs like Bodhgaya, Jammu and Sambalpur to increase the diversity of the students and this provided me with an opportunity to get admission in my dream college i.e. IIM. I had calls from IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, IIM Sambalpur and IIM Bodhgaya. Out of all these colleges I chose Bodhgaya because of the potential growth of IIM among all the baby IIMs. Additionally, the average and median package was better than the other options I had. Return of Investment was also good. Also, the mentor of IIM Bodhgaya was Calcutta so the faculties and course were designed as per their guidance. I used Quora, IIM Bodhgaya website, PagalGuy for getting information the college performance. Moreover, I have been assigned a mentor by IIM Bodhgaya and WAT-PI kit from the college which really helped me alot.

Post Graduate Programme or MBA course is a 2-year full-time course designed for students. There are 6 terms (3 terms per year) in 2 years. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it helps individual to grasp the basic knowledge of all specialization and general management. After 1st-year students have to select electives (subjects) according to their choice. General Management MBA course gives students the option to first study all subjects and then think about specialization after 1st year. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 and teachers are highly qualified and have a PhD from old IIMs. Pedagogy here is case-based with students focusing on Harvard cases along with regular textbooks. Term exam is conducted after two and a half months. The questions are moderately difficult and case based on most of the subjects.

Yes, the college does provide summer internship opportunities. Many prominent companies came to college for summer internship programme but a student is free to get a sip from outside the campus if he/she wants to. The roles are very varied right from finance, HR, strategy, Marketing, Sales and operation. An individual can apply for multiple roles before getting placed. Last year more than 100+ companies visited campus for sip with an average SIP stipend at 51,414 rupees. The prominent recruiter was Adani, Crompton, Cred. For the batch of 2022, the Sip is still going with many big companies coming for the batch.

Campus placements are above average at IIM Bodhgaya. The final placements of 2020 have an average placement of 11.02 LPA and the median was 10.5 LPA. More than 150+ companies came for placement. The major recruiter was Maruti Suzuki, HDFC bank, EY etc. The placement for 2021 is still going with major recruiters like SBI, Kotak Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, BNY and others visited the campus. Highest package of a batch of 2020 was 20 LPA. Final year students are eligible for final year placement but some get a pre-placement offer from their summer internship opportunities. For summers too more than 200 + companies offer summer internship to students. All the student need to get a GPA above 5 point for placement which is easy to get. Thus placement usually complete at the end of March in the or first week of April for the batch.

The fee structure of IIM Bodhgaya is 1,79,000 per term and total 10,74,000 for2 years. Thus overall the ROI of college is good with the average salary being 11.02 for a batch of 2020. Government of India provide various scholarship for IIM students like Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Tribes and Castes students. Merit Cum means based scholarship scheme belonging to minority communities and scheme of scholarship for top class education for a student with disabilities. There are different live projects which keep coming for students which are usually unpaid along with that summer internship programme has to be done by an individual after the first year.

Life at IIM Bodhgaya Campus is exciting and fast-paced. Elegante an annual college fest is conducted every year in the month of February. The event sees a huge footfall of student from local colleges, NIT Patna and other IIMs. The college has every amenities that an IIM campus should. Different clubs and committees make sure that the student gets their moments of joy. Cultural committee celebrates the different festival of diverse culture with utmost joy. Unnayan and drama club have competition throughout the year for art enthusiasts. There are 13 committees and10 club in college. For the sports enthusiast, the campus has basketball ground, badminton court and volleyball ground, table tennis court. Pragati the CSR club have their wonderful events every now and then and every student's part in their social event. All the three hostels in the campus are single bedroom well equipped with furniture. The campus also has a gym, library with e portal and all the learning resources.

Hostel at Bodhgaya campus is really good. Everyone at the campus got a single occupancy room with furniture in it. Mess services are really good and provide 4 meals in a day. It is compulsory for every to stay at the campus. Hostel charges are included in the fees. There is a hostel and mess committee made off-campus students who take care of the menu and the necessary requirements of the student. As the campus is student-driven everything is finalized after a through discussion with students. Hostel fees are paid in every term along with academic fees. No separate registration is needed. There are 3 hostels with more than 300+ rooms for students. Every hostel has a mess area. Menus are also prepared considering different food choice of a diverse student residing on campus and it also sees a regular change. The hostel has self-laundry services and house keepers are there for cleaning the rooms every day.

After being shortlisted for SIP Process of IIM Bodhgaya I was informed that there will be a written ability test followed by an interview. For WAT and PI preparation I get material from my coaching centre. There is a whole compendium comprising of common topics asked in GD or WAT. Also, IIM Bodhgaya under its mentorship programme provided WAT-PI kit. The common WAT topics are usually available on the internet also one can search for the topics and then practice it so to get the zest of writing with a given amount of words. The weightage for PI and WAT are different for different institutes but it is usually 10-30%. The topic I get is the influence of Social Media on an individual. The other topic was Surrogacy a new prevalence concept for having a child.
