Remarks
As we know that SLIET is one of the best govt engineering college in INDIA. SLIET ranked under top 150 colleges according to NIRF. SLIET has good Academic and placements record so I chose this college. SLIET is spread in approx 450 acres. There is a total of 14 colleges in SLIET and each department have their separate blocks. SLIET takes Admission on the basis of JEE mains score and for Diploma candidates it takes LEET (Lateral entry entrance test).
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical Engineering because as we know that mechanical is always an evergreen branch in engineering and also I have too much interest in machines since childhood. The Faculty in our college for this branch is highly qualified. The semester exams are held timely in May or June.
Placement Experience
our college has approx 75 percentage placements out of the eligible students. There are MNCs and other big companies come in SLIET for recruitments like MAHINDRA, TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, JINDAL, MARUTI SUZUKI, WELSPUN, CAPGEMINI, GODREJ, etc. The highest package of our college is 14lacs and the average salary package is 3.5 lacs which is really too good.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of our college is likely to be affordable for all the students. The average fees for BTech are approx 3.5 lacs which is really very less as compared to other colleges. So I recommend this college to all the economically weaker candidates. College gives scholarship (Tution Fee Waiver) to the meritorious students who got the highest score on the entrance test.
Campus Life
Our college held annual tech-fest. Our college has a central library. There are thousands of books kept in our library. SLIET has a gym which is free for all the students. SLIET has a sports complex, shopping complex, restaurants, KFC point, all the necessities available on the campus which the student's needs. there are many groups in the college which works in their respective fields.
