Remarks

It was, awesome studding there the friends i made there made it even more special.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE exam, i always wanted to take the electrical engineering course. It was one of my childhood dream to take this course. My rank was 2560 overall in india. They did not provide any score for the entrance exam. Only rank was provided. I opted fir this particular college as it was offering the same course and is one of the best colleges in west bengal it has good reputation.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

But it was more academic centric and more importance was given to the course works instead of the labs. They provided very little knowledge of different software like matlab, pspice etc. The exams were tough and time was a very important paramere to manage.

Internships Opportunities

There was no intrans-hip i attended during my stay but many software and consultancy firms did came to camp-using and almost 80% students were recruited.

Placement Experience

1

Placement and job opportunities were there many software companies like tcs, cts, wipro, infisis, ibm did came to recruit. Most of the students git recruited through this camp-using. Initially as a fresher companies were offering between 3. 16 lacs oer annum to 3..5 lacs per annum.

College Events

2

There were many festivals we celebrated during my stay there college fest named edge was a yearly college festival. There used to be famous persons who perform. Also there were robotics competition thay held each year. Plus different cultural and sports events were also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We needed pay fee of 1 semester in advance then it was like 26750 rupees for each semester we had a PNB national bank inside the compound and we had to go there to pay the bills. The fees were a bit higher compared to other colleges but they gave me a laptop and the price was included.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships were awarded during my stay there loan was awarded to the deserving candidates. I did not avail any loan but i knew friends who had taken some.

Campus Life

2

In our department that is electrical engineering we had more boys than gitlss. There were 64 students in total in the class out of which 16 were girls and rest were boys. There were some parties in between but nothing significant. We had students from All over the country.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels and mess festivities were there in college but it was a but far away from the college campus. It takes almost 30 minutes to reach there. The hostels are nice. It was clean with hygienic restrooms. Cooking was allowed inside hostel. It was overall a nice experience.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network as well as the senior, all were very much helpful in helping me understanding subjects they were friendly and helpful.

Admission

It was through counseling it was held in a well known arena at kolkata. My counseling was on the second day. As students were given the opportunity to choose their favorite course according to their ranks. After selecting the college i had to to the college to do the paper works.

Faculty

2

They were qualified and knowledgeable enough to teach us. All the faculty and stuffs were very good and well mannered. They were very helpful and whenever I was in need of something they helped me. Overall i am satisfied eighth the teachers and the stuff members.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
