Remarks

No all good, but now I am hearing that the standard of institution has come down drastically, which is not a good sign.

Entrance Preview

I had very few choices at that time, this college was upcoming at that time and was giving primary importance to education. They were also not taking any donation, which made me inclined towards this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The combination that I took was CASM, meaning Commerce, Accounts, Statistics and Mathematics. Although I was very weak in Maths, the Secretary insisted that , it was the only choice available. I thank him for that restriction now as it was easy to score more marks as all were practical subjects, unlike other combinations where theory was involved. I also got to meet very intelligent brains in this class, which changed my life.

Internships Opportunities

We did not have internship when I was studying. However their methodology was very good, giving importance to God with starting the day with prayers having inter collegiate functions etc.

Placement Experience

2.5

We did not have that opportunities at that time, the concept of campus placements were not there. However I would have loved to have at that time, so that it would have helped us to gain confidence very early in our life. I feel sad when people at very early age earn so much nowadays, as most of them (not all) do not understand the value of money.

College Events

4

Yes we had inter collegiate sports, technical and cultural activities that the college was arranging this helped us to mingle with other college students and enhance our knowledge. The college had also arranged for stalls, which used to help us exhibit our talent.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was very competitive and not at all expensive for the services that they were providing they were service oriented and not money making educational institution. I think that is the reason they were able to expand so quickly they were also encouraging other caste students to join, so that was very good approach.

Fees and Financial Aid

They were providing scholarship to the needs, however I do not remember if they were providing loan facility also. As I said, they were charging very competitively and very less compared to other institutions, so this helped the parents not to go to other means for funding.

Campus Life

4

Yes as mentioned above, we had a very good mix of gender, religion, ethnicity, race etc., due to which it helped us to have an understanding of all the cultures of those people, which in turn helped us to avoid hatred among different religions. Also the quality standards of the college was very high, one of the best compared to others in that area.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We did not have hostel facilities, when I was studying, so the question of mess food will not come into picture. However for the benefit of students the college had arranged for a outside vendor who had a stall and would supply snacks at very cheap rates. The food street was walk-able distance for us, so food was not a problem.

Alumni/Alumna

Actually the college was dead against ragging, which is one of the best about this college, so they were taking all measures to curb this menace. Also they were very supportive of who ever were affected.

Exam Structure

Yes the labs and exams were good we were kept occupied all the day. Although we did not have ground for outdoor activities, the National college grounds was very near, which helped us also the computer labs were very updated and we had a gym for the students to use, which was a luxury at that time.

Admission

The application was readily available with very minimum fee the admission process was that the Secretary used do a preliminary interview knowing the background, education etc. and would approve the admission. Based on his acceptance, we had to pay the fees based on the stream selected.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty at that point in time were decent. I am a firm believer that faculty can just guide you but cannot change you completely. It is we who have to put in efforts to come out with flying colors. We had very decent teachers who used to help us even after college hours, which helped us to clarify all our queries.

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all
