Remarks

Overall if you want some quality education with a fair pricing and are OK to stay away from family for a while, This is the best college for you then.

Entrance Preview

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a college in Mumbai. Less seats for dimploma holders and more for those from 12th Sci.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It has some great way of learing and teaching. The couse focus more on the practicle knowledge and has high echnology practicle labs and workshops are required by the college. Recentlythe mechanical engg couse of the college got acrediated with AIC as A+ course and has a highly qualified teaching faculty and staff

Internships Opportunities

No, generally these internship structure are present in the colleges having sandwhich patters of course. But here this is not the case. In fact we have an internship as our curriculam, but we have to search for a place or company for our training which can be for 15 to 30 days and have to present the certificate of training in our college.

Placement Experience

4

It has some great placements and majority of students gets placed. In our year, mostly 60 percent and in previous year more than 75 percent students got placed in well renound companies and with some really good packages. Just that we have to maintain the minimum requirement of the companies.

College Events

4

We had amny events. Cultural events, Sports events, Intercollege Tech Fest and also National level Tech Fest. Participation from all over Maharashtra were expected and arrived as well. It has been some great years watching and organizing the showcase of some great talents in tachnical and extra cirricular grounds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were nominal in comparision to most of the colleges in mumbai and other areas. The figures were increasing every year but they were precise and affordable for a student who plans engineering. We have to pay the entire fees in advance in the year start and then we had the jain scholarship returning a small amount for the students who have applied according to the government of India terms.

Fees and Financial Aid

As mentioned earlier, there is a Government of India announced scholarship for Jain Students where a part of fees are returned to them on the basis of merits and this can be easily availed with a few documents submitted. There are other facilities of SC, SBC and OBC guys and all these can be availed with a bit of paperwork.

Campus Life

5

There are some great National and International events in whcih the representatives of college do participate eg: BAJA. There are some big and great playgrounds easily accessible and also some courts where games and sports are of great importance in free time.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college ahs 3 hostels for men and 1 or 2 for girls as well. The hostel rooms are clean and well maintained. They have a compulsion of eating in the college hostel mess for the 1st ear and you can move on to other mess in the area, there are many other mess and food providers. There are also other private hostels charging a bit higher but also provied the facilities required.

Alumni/Alumna

For now there are no such networks and if there are I am not aware of it. But yes there are many Facebook pages where discussions and comments may be of great help.

Exam Structure

The days here are chilled out, Hostels and college were nearby and close enough to save your time for studies and other activites. Also the exam structure were suitale enough to have a understanding of the concepts covered in one semester. We had a semester exams in every May and Dec, May exams being the early exams.

Admission

General procedure, where list as per merits are displayed and then the shortlisted candidates are called for conselling rounds and given admissions. There you get a chance to select the field of your choice upon availability. There are many seats sufficient for good grade students and the procedure is much simple and goes on with ease.

Faculty

4.5

All the staff members and faculty of the college are highly qualified and has good teaching ability and skills, they are always helpful and accessible in theri chambers. Teachers there are ready to answer the doubt and clarifications put down by the students and that leads to a friendly atmosphere in the classrooms.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
