Amazing college under IPU.

The college on a whole is quite good and is among the top 5 engineering colleges of Delhi the campus is a little small as compared to other govt colleges but its reasonable.the college management is very good as well.

IPU cet is the test that you must qualify to take admission in any IPU college. I got a rank of 1600 and CET scores are not reveled. But roughly you need about 320-360 marks to get 1600 rank.

College curriculum isn't that great imo but still not that bad the theory and practicals are correlated and the labs are okay. But the working hours are too long and due to it there is lot of fatigue files and assignments have to be submitted regularly and carry marks for your semester.

I am not currently aware about internships because I am still in the first sem but there a lot of good companies which come for on-campus placements. Almost 80-95% students get placed on-campus.

The average package wasn't that good (about 3.5-4 lpa) but is you have a good resume and skill set you can certainly bag a job with on of the dream companies. Last year the highest package was 15lpa (3 students) and companies like adventure and Infosys generally come for mass recruitment (3-4 lpa).

There are a lot of events which go on throughout the year and anybody and everybody is free to participate. The college fest , all occasions are celebrated in the college. Apart from this the college societies also go to fests all across the country.

The fee structure is moderate in my opinion. 1.15lpa is the approximate fees which is quite more than the fees of any govt college but compared to other private colleges it isn't that high . This fees does not include hostel or anything else it is just the academic fees.

I personally have not availed any scholarship or loan facility but I guess if someone who is deserving and has difficulty in paying the fees upon talking to the authorities can get some help.

The campus life is happening, there is a mix of students but most of them are from Delhi . In the b.tech courses the gender ration favours the boys highly but in other MBA and BBA courses it is quite neutral. The labs are good and.well equipped. There are two indoor badminton courts, one basketball court, a football field, a volleyball court and a table tennis table in the hostel along with a small gym.

There are limited hostel rooms and it is very difficult to get one. You can opt for a PG though. The PGs rental is about 11k per month including mess charges. There are options for ac, single , double , triple rooms and is very convenient. But there are no ac rooms in the hostel.

The seniors are very helpful and there is no ragging in the college at all. If you stay in the hostel or PG you have a big advantage as you can get some good advise from your seniors.

The college follows a semester system. Each semester is 6 months long and has 2 exams. The internal exams (or midsems) are conducted in the college itself and carry 15% value overall the externals are conducted in other colleges of IPU and carry 75% weight age . 10% weight age is given to internal assessment(files, assignments etc.

Most of the admission process was online but you have to be physically present to pay the fees. The admission took no more than one day. The thing is you should be aware if the counselling process and dates at all times as they keep changing.

Every faculty member is very dedicated and understanding (not to mention berg qualified).All teachers have doctorates in their respective subjects. The teachers are otherwise very helpful and supportive. Professors entertain students even after classes.
