Deep Kalaria's Review On Lords Universal College, Mumbai

College management was nice except the canteen department was very rude & also transportation is a little issue for going to this college but overall in teaching wise college has high experienced faculties with them.

During Hsc I appeared for various entrance exam like National science Olympiad, MHT-CET & AIEEE. Among which I scored 75 in AIEEE & took admission in this college. I took admission in universal college because I got seat in my preferred field of civil engineering.

Course structure actually is different for all branches of engineering present in our college. I am describing my college course structure. In our field of civil engineering we had 6 subjects every semester with 9:00am to 5:00 pm college timing. Among that time we had one hour lunch break plus 4 hours practical session we only had one research project in our final year in which group of 4 people researched on a particular topic related to their field.

Nowadays no college affiliated with Mumbai university provide an internship program to their students. But our college being a new college also managed to provide internship to each & every student of the class right from topper to a normal student that also in a reputated company. We were placed in companies like Lodha, Rustomjee, Raheja & Gammon India developers & builders. We also had a stipend of around 8000rs for one month training period with training internship certificates that mattered in my final placement. Thank you college very much for providing me internship during right time when I needed it.

According to me our college's negative is point is it's placement cell because our college being a new college in market was not very successful in providing placements to each & every students. But then also being a new college my college managed to place around 20 students from my class from 53 students. Companies in our campus were L&T Infotech,Gammon India,Bhandari associate,Sutherland,Clancy global etc. But being fresher engineers the pay-scale was around approx 22k. But then also being a new college i would thanking them for helping me placing in a well known company.

There are various events that we have celebrated in colleges like National level techfest, National level Project exhibition & one of my favorite inter college fest named vyro. Vyro use to be organised for around 4 days with around 95 activities & competition. We Have also arranged various expert short term training period seminars for all engineering students in vacation periods.

Fees is feasible if you see from side of the college because facilities provided by college is best among Mumbai's other colleges because we had whole college as a wifi campus with high speed internet access. Also sports ground provided by college is of about 1.5 acre in area wise. Hence the fees was normal comparing various engineering colleges in Mumbai.So according to my opinion fees of our college is economic.

Scholarship facilities were available but that were only available for Jain, sikh & sc caste students they only paid 10000rs as college fees of one year. But college have students facility to pay fees in installments for needful students.

Gender ratio of this college was normal there was no problem of boys girls because crowd at this college was very nice and from good family.Girls ratio was around 40% to that of boys in religion terms college being a Gujarati minority the crowd was mostly filled by Gujarati students economic status of students at this college were from middle class normal family.

Canteen at this college was big enough & had all machines & appliances required for preparing different food items. But the canteen team was very bad because no proper management by them no variety available in lunch & all also cleanliness factor at canteen was very bad.

Actually this college started during 2012 & luckily we were the first batch of our college so no problem of senior student but Alumni of this college is also nice & supportive in all terms.

Exam structure of this college is Normal as that of other colleges Linked with Mumbai university so we had 2 term test in each semester with oral examination before our final university examination. Our final university examination had a 15 days reading leave before it's commencement.marks distribution was strictly based on university rules & regulations.

I would on behalf of my experience rate faculty score as 9.5 out off 10 points because all faculties in our civil branch were professor with around minimum 15 years experienced in teaching field also they were very helpful & cooperative to each & every student of the class faculties in this college were like a family head giving us a good guidance for our bright future a respective & great salute to my every professor.
