Remarks

The college management has not always been very good with the students in terms of facility providing or updating infrastructure. May be the management had a difficult time as it was in starting phase. But the department faculty, Lab faculty and Librarian all are very nice and always helpful. I had very good experience in my college.

Entrance Preview

I took Maharashtra CET and scored 80 in the exam. I chose this college as it had a lot of seat for computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It's very good. Students are asked to research on something new and build project on it as the Final Year Project. Special workshops are arranged for the students to pursue career in the technology world. The syllabus comes from Pune University which is very interesting.

Internships Opportunities

My college doesn't provide internship. It's just we are given ample amount of time if we want to build something unique for our final year project.

Placement Experience

1

When I passed out, we were the first passing batch of this college. So we did not have placement in our college. Only Mechanical Department got a company coming in the college, which offered the job to students as a trainee engineer with a salary of Rs. 6000/- per month. After we passed out we started looking for jobs in our fields, sooner and later every one in our batch got placed.

College Events

4

We have tech fest for each department separately. Computer department has an event called Orion-Trace where we have number of activities like code competition, gaming, paper presentation, etc. Mechanicals also had many other events like Robo-War , Truss making, Kinetic energy, etc. Overall there is a lot to learn from such events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is affordable in my college. During my tenure, we had yearly expense on our college around Rs. 65000/-. If someone is from OBC/EBC concession facilities are provided. I have found very less hidden fees. All the lab fees, library fees, tution fees are covered under Rs. 65000/- only.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide you with the formal letters if one wants to avail a loan from a bank. I did my studies on Education Loan. EBC scholarship is provided if proper documents are submitted in the college.

Campus Life

3

As you know, in computer dept. gender ration is always approximately same. But in mechanical dept. girls count is very less. So it varies as per the departments. There is ragging in my college strict actions are taken if someone is found guilty of ragging activities. Extracurricular activities like annual functions is always celebrated with great enthusiasm. Every year there is a sports week in month of January-February. Robotics, debate etc. are among the events which are held during annual technical festivals. Overall we used to enjoy and learn from every events held in our college.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not that good. I left it in an year and went for a P.G. Hostel rooms are shared among 6 students each room, which is kind of crowded. Also the bathrooms and toilets are very stinky. Mess also is under private contractor who degrades food quality more often after one or two months of academic year start. So we also left the college mess within a year.

Alumni/Alumna

We did not have seniors as we were the first batch of our college to pass out. But we always helped our juniors with any issue they had. We are still helping the recent pass outs to find a better job and guiding them to find a good stream.

Exam Structure

Theory exams or lab exams were always conducted in a very strict environment. As it has follow the standards of Pune University. But Vivas were often chilled out. Not very serious both internal as well as external examiners. But the exams were always very difficult to pass as the paper correction is very strict in the Pune University.

Faculty

4

As far as Computer Science department is considered, all the faculties are very enthusiastic and full of knowledge. There is always a separate professor for each subject in each semester. They also detail you a topic if students want to know that particular topic in detail.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
