Remarks

I am a current student of IIM Kashipur of the batch 2020-22. My experience in college so far has been good. Coming from a BA background, I was skeptical about adjusting to a new environment. But IIM Kashipur has made me corporate ready in such a short span of time through appropriate exposure to various big names in the industry and corporate competitions. IIM Kashipur takes admission through CAT and subsequently through the CAP process.

Course Curriculum Overview

I found the greatest pool of professors and guest faculties here at IIM Kashipur. Their way and method of teaching are such that even a novice in that subject will be able to relate and understand better. The classes include healthy and intense discussion during a case-based approach and studies. It gets a little less feasible in an online mode though but I hope classes will be back to physical mode soon.

Course Fees: INR 1500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided in all the major domains like HR, Marketing, Finance, consulting, IT Analytics and operations. Sectors like BFSI, IT, aviation, automobile, FMCG etc were available for internship roles.

Placement Experience

A placement scenario of the college is quite good given the ongoing pandemic and global economic crisis. The summer placement of the batch is concluded with offers coming from more than 91 companies and record 100% placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of IIM Kashipur for its two year MBA Program including food and residence is about 17 lakhs for the batch 2020-22. For the students belonging to the economically weaker section of the society, there is a provision of need cum merit scholarship for them, given they meet the criteria for the same.

Campus Life

The sports activities in IIM Kashipur is always on. There are playgrounds for each sport. Apart from that, there is a gym, library, amphitheatre, music room, atm, grocery shop and also a dedicated restaurant within the campus. IIM Kashipur hosts various flagship events such as Agnitraya, Utthistha and TEDx.

Hostel Facilities

MBA at IIM Kashipur is a full-time residential program with the hostel blocks located within the campus. The hostel rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities. The rooms are not air-conditioned but radiant heating and the cooling facility are there. The mess food is top-notch. It is one of the best parts of IIM Kashipur. The food is very different from the stereotypes of hostel foods.

Interview Experience

My interview round of the Common Admission Process mostly revolved around the question that why I wanted to shift from an Arts background to a business domain. Apart from that, I was asked basic questions about my subject and other related trends and affairs. My WAT topic was related to whether road construction should be privatized.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was very good. The specialization which I chose was a very new concept and this university provides that particular specialization. The teaching methods were also very good with experienced teachers and weekly presentations also with different assignments.

Uttaranchal University is a gemstone!!

Placement Experience:

In digital marketing nearly 90% it the students are placed in top startup companies like the Boat, Minimalist and all who needs digital presence to sell their products. Jobs offered are of 50-80k a month and for MBA freshers this is a kind package.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

Placement Experience:

i think from 3 rd semsester students are eligble for campus placements iam from 1 sem thats why i didnt eligble for that higest is like 20 lakhs and lowest is 3 lakhs per anam they show 90 percent but actually only 10 percent of students get placed i am planning to get a job ncr

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

The IIM of the North

I found the admission process easier (Level Medium on Difficulty scale). The process started with the CAT application form, then the CAT exam, followed by a call letter for an Interview and then the selection email. No, specifically I haven't received any counselling related to IIM Kashipur or other IIM institutes. But the first advantage I saw was there were a lot of industries visit the IIM Kashipur campus.
