Remarks

I selected this college because it has the best campus, best placements (atleast for CSE) and the best college life. Most of college students in other colleges speak Marathi, but coming to DYP, many students are from north making it easy to communicate with proper sharing of your thoughts. I took my admission in 2018 nearabout in first week of August and the First Year Dept is really the best dept out of all 4 years. Reason for preferring this college is mainly the culture, placement and campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose the course because I already had interest in CS from 11th because I had that subject during my High School. I love coding and I'm fascinated by various technologies. The curriculum structure is revised in 2019 with Python in first year and all core subjects like Data Structures, OOPs, Comp Graphics, C++, Java in Second Year. In 3rd and 4th year Advanced concepts like AI, ML, IOT, OS, DBMS, Networking is there. The teacher to student ratio is 1:70, but we have dediacted teacher guardians for a batch of 20 students which closely monitors them for their overall progress. The term exam are really not that hard, few days are enough to prepare, but you need practice for many hours to get hands on the devices (for subjects like Digital Electronics).

Placement Experience

5

If you are from the Computer/IT branch, you will be placed. Even in corona time still 120 students were picked by Capegemini and comapnies like Veritas and Virtusa gave double digit packages to 10-15 students. All MCs visit with frequent recruiters being Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Veritas, Virtusa, BYJUs, Capgemini, CTS, and many more. CS and IT branches got many students placed till date with average package at 4.5 and highest at 6 lakhs. I plan for MTech from IITs after graduation and then go for research as I love that.

College Events

4.5

The life in campus is really the best, you get full on opportunities to participate and if you don't want to take part, be ready to cheer up. Those 20 days of february when the college fest is celebrated remains the best time in college. We have Department clubs and college level clubs like TedX, The Toastmasters club and various international clubs which are all run by the students for the students. For every interest, there is some club like Cultural, Dance, Song, Bookreading, etc. We have 80000+ books in library and all kind of reference books are available. Many fiction books and novels are also available. We have normal classrooms with proper lights and fans with Projectors and board. The labs are really well maintained and highly decorative. Sports activities are always encouraged by college clubs and a lot of students take part in all major games, if you have interest in any other games, you have to just put your idea to the Sports Lead, they will surely add it up.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Many scholarship are there for SC ST OBC students provided you are from state, otherwise other scholarships such as National Scholarship are open to all. Internship opportunities are always available from 3rd year and campus takes enough efforts to get everyone placed in some company. The highest package lands near 16 lakhs and average being at 4.5 to 5. You just need good aptitude skills and some practice of basics and if you are from Computer branch, you will be placed!!

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are really good with proper fooding and all other amenities. There are also a lot of PGs and rooms available which costs around 60k without food. U can adjust your amenities there and the food costs around 40k outside with variety of choices and you will not get bored. I'm myself one of those who lives in PG

Admission

No, the admission was solely based on MH-CET/JEE marks. There is some quota for institute level admission wherein interview rounds may be conducted depending on no. of seats.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.
