Remarks
Factors for joining the college were it's decent placement record especially for cse and IT students. An also Bhubaneswar has a lower cost of living as compared to other educational hubs as Bangalore or delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was updated Time to time to keep up with technological advances and elite colleges. Industrial exposure was very good for CSE and IT students as a result of college's MoU with CDAC. Students were encouraged to take part in various hackathons and skill competitions. Debdas Mishra, Mamta Rani Das were two standout professors in my opinion their understanding and pace of teaching was brilliant.
Internships Opportunities
I interned with a start up SmartX connected products private limited via internshala. Stipend paid to me was 8000 per month.
Placement Experience
Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, IBM, Robert Bosch, Bharath Light and Power, Capegemini, Opentext, SAP, Black Knight, Aptus Data labs.
College Events
Events organised in college were mediocre. Not sufficient funds were provided to organise events. Not enough autonomity for event organisers to organize events. College did held hackathons as it had infrastructure to support it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students from OBC, SC and ST category can avail scholarship provided by government. Students from Odisha can also avail for EWS category scholarship.
Campus Life
Library was very good. Lab equipments were updated for CSE and IT students. Internet connectivity was very good. Labs were always available for students while working on pet projects and hackathons. Never used sports facilities.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in hostel for an year. Canteen food was stereotypical of hostel food. Hostel rooms were cramped. In case of unavailability of hostels PGs were available at cheaper rates but in my opinion staying in nearby flats is a better option.
