Kazi Alien Rana's Review On Tezpur University - [TU], Tezpur

It is a well recognised university under the central government with good ranking. It has brilliant teachers and they have done great work in research. I had checked their work which really fascinated me. Moreover our university campus is so beautiful. Probably one of the most beautiful campus in North East. The facilities are also great and i love the place Tezpur which has great heritage and has been the home of many artists. I took feedbacks from seniors about teachers and so finally decided to go there.

It is great. It has great opportunity for the ones that seek. There are 2 tests and one end term and a mid term per semester scrutinized properly. The classes comprise of theory and tutorial. For every 2-3 theory classes there will be one tutorial where you will get to do the numericals. The Workshop for our mechanical engineering department is also great. It has some of the very intrinsic machinery required for the performance of several labs.

The placement is a thing to worry about. For mechanical engineering students OIL visits the campus but they recruit only 3 students. But all students who passed out from here have landed somewhere good in near future either MS or MBA. Many work in foreign countries ranging from US to Germany. Because the location is very far away from the available airport so the companies don't prefer to come.

There are many clubs available as per your interest. Ranging from robotics club to cinema club. You get to explore whichever you want. There are several cultural events and sports event that happen over there where you can showcase your talent. One thing which i would like to mention is that Tezpur University has immense pressure for the Btech students particularly. There are classes till 5:30 p.m that is something noteworthy. But overall you will find all the facilities and can stay comfortably and enjoy.

Very nice. It has free wifi for all the students which is really fast. The Library is a huge one which has subjects varying from management to humanities. The hostels are very comfortable and the mess is managed by the students so the food depends on how the students are and if they want good food or just save money and have bad food. The campus is surely one of the most beautiful of all. It even has many animals raning from monkeys to dogs and cats. Always a great view to watch and walk around. It has a huge football ground, cricket ground, tennis, volleyball ground. It also has basketball and badminton court.

JEE Mains, 88.69 percentile
