Remarks

MAIT is overall good college but here are some very serious issues which needs to dealt immediately. Staff in administration section is very very rude. They don't know how to talk, how to behave. They are not cooperative at all. They think they are there to just sit and browse internet. Some teachers gives high marks selectively to those students who are more close to them despite of their low academic performance. Overall college is good.

Entrance Preview

Our college comes under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. There is common entrance test (CET) to get admission in colleges which comes under this university. I am also appeared in this test because this college in Delhi and I don't want to go outside for study. I don't know my rank how much I scored at that time. I choose Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology because it is best all over the colleges of University.

Internships Opportunities

In B-tech we have to do internship multiple times for computer science students, mostly students learn courses like java, android, big data etc, for this they have to pay in institutes rather than salary, though they can earn or can have salary. Also if they join any internship company for longer duration like 6 months in which they learn in first 2 months and in rest 4 months they work for company for which they get paid.

Placement Experience

4.5

Companies like Honda and Mahindra are the regular recruiters for the core branches during the placement season. Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, and many more software companies recruit students from CS and IT and offer a pay packager around 4 lac per annum. The placements for Computers and IT are almost 100% while it’s roughly around 70% for the core branches. The college has a good record for placements and thus is highly ranked in the university.

College Events

2

College celebrates cultural fest under the name of Mridang and it has very huge participation from entire Delhi-NCR. At the last day core team arranges a star night- jal has performed, Bombay Rockers, Kumar Vishwas and many more performed. But only thing is they ask for individual contribution also say Rs.500 each, its on will. It has technofest also under the name of TECHSURGE- which has series of events and workshops and Guest lectures. All robotics events are worth to see and counts maximum participation. Lan gaming and Outdoor tournaments also attracts good participation. Some robotics events are- Robo war, Robo Bomb Disposal, Robo Soccer, Robo Race etc. LAN gaming gives cash price to win.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College Fees is around 1 Lac per annum. Students who Scores 95% in their class 12 Boards as whole aggregate, they get free Laptops from College and the Students who score good marks and rank in their semester exam, they get Scholarship in form of hard cash from the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a system in which the fresher's are provided with laptops at Avery lower cost depending upon their percentages in 12th standard. Like if some one has percentage between 90-100 then 8000 only for a 30000 laptop. If between 85-90 then the same laptop for rs 13000 And if its is between 80-85 then the laptop will be given at 18000 only. Laptops quality are always good.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is average as there is no mall or cinema hall near college as this is a engineering college and hence the boys to girls ratio is low its around 65:35. There is somehow less extra curriculum activities as this is a engineering college the syllabus itself is very vast. The labs are just average but computer labs are very good there are few games played in college which are volley ball, basket ball, cricket, football, running, badminton(badminton court is just awesome) etc there are regular basis of competitions held of computer coding, robo wars and robotics etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

College has a hostel for boys only. Hostel has a capacity of 186 students. Each student is accommodated either in Single, Double and Four-seater rooms. It has mess facility which is operated under the guidance of the Warden of the hostel. Also it has a large Common Room with Television and Cable Connection where the students can keep themselves abreast with the events happening around the world. Proper attention is given for the hygiene and cleanliness of the hostel, and all the residents are expected to keep their rooms neat and tidy. There are separate rooms for guests, yoga and gymnasium. Internet connection is provided in each room. A back-up generator is also provided for round the clock power supply. There is a boundary wall surrounding the hostel and round the clock security is provided.

Alumni/Alumna

College have a great alumni network in the college, seniors are nice and there to help you 24x7. Yes it depends upon you how you approach them up. The alumni network is strong and even they send us vacancies in their respective companies.

Exam Structure

Every college has different exam pattern. Our college also have an exam pattern. Before the semester exam, there is two terms exam of 30 marks each which is then transformed into 20 marks at the time of semester. 5 marks also there for assignment. The semester exam contains 75 marks. Similarly in the practical, the marks is divided into internal practical and external practical. The practical contains 100 marks.

Faculty

4

Faculty of the college is well experienced and many of them have published their own books on the subjects they expertise in. Some faculties are senior passed out students from the same college and will make you learn many things which can't be taught in a lecture. So its fun to learn from the available faculty in college.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.
