Remarks

Firstly because it is a Government engineering College so the fees is quite low and affordable. Idukki has a great climate and weather. But college campus is quite small and does not include any grounds for sports activities (other than basketball). There was no issues based on the admission process and registration during admission. The staff are quite good at what thet do and all the classes are smart classes with all the modern day facilities. Overall this college would be an amazing choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

To be honest, I chose information technology as my course as it is one of the simplest courses in the engineering field.Considering the size of the college, I would say the student ratio is pretty high. The faculty are mostly well educated but I wouldn't say that they're teaching methods are the best. They could improve on how they interact with the students and try to have a better bond with them.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are a lot of placements in this college. Placements begin from semester 7. Companies such a tcs, Infosys, wipro, tws are some of the many that come for placements here. I would say about 70 to 75 percent of the students are getting placed from this college.

College Events

4

There's nothing missing in terms of college tech fests, art fests, college day and stuff like that. Every celebration is top notch. I never imagined my social life being this amazing. There are all kinds of clubs like arts club, photography clubs, political groups etc. And there is sufficient availability of text books and other information to refer about in the college library. Although the college does lack a bit when it somes to sports. The sports day isn't as good as you would imagine it to be.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The cost to study is considerably low. Almost what you would expect in every government Engineering colleges in kerala. There are quite a lot of scholarships available for selected categories (such as egrantz, SC/ST scholarships etc). Surprisingly this college has a lot of campus placements in all the courses it offers. You are promised a job in this college if you do well in academics.

Hostel Facilities

4

I do not stay in the college hostel. I'm staying as a paying guest (PG) close to the college(5km away). The total rent is around 3000 per month including food, water and electricity (850 is rent only).

Admission

There actually wasn't any tests or interviews involved in order to get admission in this college. Although there was a group session for the students at the day of admission to guide the students through the right path and stuff.

There are a total of 6 semesters. From the 6th semester onwards students can attend interviews. Infosys, Wipro visited the campus. But less than 30 percent of students got jobs through campus recruitment. I am planning to go MBA.
