Roller-coaster Experience at the best IIM

IIM-Lucknow is a prestigious institute and I had a plan of cracking IIM-Lucknow. The college is an all-in-one institute where it offers quality education along with the tinge of sports & extracurricular activities. My 2 years at the college were full of experience and fun.

The course is divided into 6 terms where each year has 3 terms. Our preparations went hard but the concepts testing was very easy as the professors would clear our doubts in the classroom itself. The teaching staff is highly-qualified in the required specialization fields. They share their experiences to give us insights into practical life. The teaching method is very modern as two-way communication is at the heart of the faculty.

Summer internships at the end of 1st year are compulsory for the students at any of the IIMs. So I also took the internship for 2 months duration that was paid. The institute provides their assistance to fetch us the best internship package.

The placement stats of IIM-Lucknow are very attractive in the sense that when I passed out in 2020 there was a 100% placement record with 455 job offers made to exactly 455 students. The students were placed according to their preference and the domains like sales, marketing, operations, consulting, IT, etc. The highest offer made was INR 54 LPA (domestic) and 58 LPA (International). The average salary package was 1.03 Lakh per month. The well-known recruiters included Amazon, HUL, Accenture, Flipkart, P&G, Uber, Citi, Swiggy, Nestle, JP Morgan, Airtel, Colgate, ITC, etc.

The total was at IIM-Lucknow is INR 14,32,000 that is inclusive of hostel fees, library deposit, refundable fee, computer fee, etc. Scholarships are offered to students on the basis of merit as well as the family income of the student's family. The Central and State govt. schemes are also applicable to the students, provided they follow the condition.

Manfest Varchasva is the heart and soul of IIM-Lucknow with Nawabi-style fest. The events are organized with full excitement and energy. The shows hosted at the fest bring real life to the Institute. Several B-town celebrities also grace the much-awaited fest. The institute is also a house of diverse clubs & committees of literary arts, dramatics, dance, music, sports, social activities, etc. Festivals are all celebrated on the campus so that the culture of India is promoted.

The hostel entails are full of positivity. The accommodation facility at the B-school is astounding with spacious and clean rooms. The food provided is also healthy with no added preservatives. It is also hygienic.

The interview round is knowledge and confident testing in nature. It provided me a better experience of a high-level job interview. The questions asked in the interview included the life of a fresher, future of Indian companies, small scale industries, rural banks, money, favorite books, movies, why IIM-Lucknow, etc. The interviewers were very cool and expect professionalism from the students. This must be kept in mind while giving the interview.
