Remarks
Asansol Engineering College is one of the best colleges in West Bengal. The Infrastructure is awesome and the placement percentage is about 85% and the average package is around 4 lakh/yr. Admission in this is done through 2 entrance exams : 1. Jee Mains ( 30% seats ) 2. Wbjee ( 60% Seats ) I prefer this college among other private colleges because of these points: 1. Fee of 4 years of BTech CSE is just 4,20,000 INR. 2. Placement percentage and average package are good compared to other private colleges. 3. Good Infrastructure among all colleges in West Bengal.
Course Curriculum Overview
From my childhood, I was interested in computers. So as I was a tech enthusiast so I choose computer science and engineering course. Also, the placement of the CSE branch is good as compared to other branches in my college. The faculty-student ratio is 1:20. Qualification of maximum teachers is up to PhD. The way of teaching is good but should need to improve more. We have two internal exams and 1 semester exam every semester. Passing the internal exam is quite easy but you have to study hard to pass semester examination.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the companies for internship are start companies on the college campus. So, you need to apply for off-campus internship offers for better opportunities. I recommend everyone to build an attractive LinkedIn profile and get these opportunities from LinkedIn.
Placement Experience
Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for placements. The top 3 companies who visited our college for placement in the CSE branch are TCS, Wipro and Infosys. The median package is around 4,00,000 INR. The highest package was 11 lakh. And the lowest package was 2,50,000. Around 85% of students got their placements. After completing my degree first I want to get a job then I will start following my passion.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for a total of 4 years of BTech CSE is 4,20,000. The fee is too good as compared to other private colleges. If anyone applies for a bonafide / scholarship then he or she will get a 40,000 per semester scholarship.
Campus Life
The annual fest of our college is tech fest Aec. It is conducted in January. The college has a huge library from which any student can borrow any book. Sports facilities are not that good. CodeAec is a coding community of 1 at year students who are founded by me.
