Remarks

Decent placements low fees compared to other B.Schools.The IIT tag. Admission is only through CAT. After applying the institute releases a shortlist for GD-PI. Those who do well eventually get an offer letter.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty to student ratio is quite good. For a batch of 71 students, we have 22 faculties. From the 2020 batch onwards we are following the term system to increase project work in the curriculum. All faculties are Phds from eminent institutes and pedagogy is quite good and mostly discussion-based.

Course Fees: INR 464000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students get offers in diverse sectors from core marketing, finance, analytics to social development sectors. Almost every alternative day, we get live project opportunities to hone our skills. RBS, KPMG, PFS, NEC are some of the recruiters who visited campus in 2020.

Placement Experience

Avg for this time is around 11 LPA. Top global firms hire in niche fields. Some recruiters of the 2019-2021 batch are Royal Bank of Scotland, Ernst and young, Deloitte, Cognizant, Infosys, Jio-saavn, Paytm. The highest package is 19 LPA for the passing batch. DoMS, IIT Roorkee has a relatively small batch size so everyone gets placed without much heck.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the ongoing pandemic, the institute has reimbursed a portion of the actual payment, and IITs are better compared to most of the B.Schools in terms of ROI. The total expenditure for your MBA will be around 10 lakhs. SIP is at par with new and baby IIMs.

Campus Life

Thomson is the annual fest of IIT Roorkee. Which attracts students all over India. Avenir is a departmental fest to bring eminent industry leaders. Mahatma Gandhi National Library is the centralized library that holds a huge collection of research papers, journals, and books of almost every field one can imagine. Students have online access to the library and the institute also provides free subscriptions of education-related tools and websites like Statista, Grammarly, etc.

Interview Experience

For our batch, it was COVID-19 time so we did not appear for the GD-PI. Shortlisting done for the 2020-2022 batch entirely based on the CAT-2019 scores. The cut-off for a general candidate usually lies around 95 percentile.

A peaceful college life,

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was very good. The specialization which I chose was a very new concept and this university provides that particular specialization. The teaching methods were also very good with experienced teachers and weekly presentations also with different assignments.

Uttaranchal University is a gemstone!!

Placement Experience:

In digital marketing nearly 90% it the students are placed in top startup companies like the Boat, Minimalist and all who needs digital presence to sell their products. Jobs offered are of 50-80k a month and for MBA freshers this is a kind package.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

i think from 3 rd semsester students are eligble for campus placements iam from 1 sem thats why i didnt eligble for that higest is like 20 lakhs and lowest is 3 lakhs per anam they show 90 percent but actually only 10 percent of students get placed i am planning to get a job ncr

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT ROORKEE in a nut-shell

As we know IIT ROORKEE is one of the oldest engineering college in while asia and has a very good alumini connection and placement record so i chose it and it is also closer to my home. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
